Thanks to everyone for not only confirming that the bass players deserve a bit more respect, but also settling the bet with a drummer that I play with. Good night to all.

Gee, I don't remember anyone saying anything about bassists DESERVING more respect, just that they don't get it. Maybe if they didn't stand around like a bump on a log.... :?
