I never said the United States was without blame. We have done a lot of stupid things. Perhaps we have meddled in foreign affairs to the detriment of those countries we were meddling in. Do you think Europe is better off today than it was right at the end of WWII, how about Japan? We are already seeing that Iraq is dramatically improving. Afghanistan is improving. These things take TIME. They don't happen overnight, HUrricane Katrina was handled badly, but where do you start rehabilitating an area of devastation the size of Kansas (over 80,000 square miles)? Everybody expects us to snap our fingers and instantly produce results. Farming experiments have gone wrong in THIS country as well (the dust bowl was a result of poor farming techniques). This is nothing new. Farming everywhere in the history of mankind has depleted the soil. AS far as the documents you're talking about, yeah I"ve read them. Yeah we"ve done some stupid things. Yeah people were not held to account for their actions. It's called politics my friend. In order to want to be in power in any country you almost by definition have to be a psychopath. All I know is the bottom line, despite all our evils when people visit other countries they invariably come back to the evil USA and kiss our soil and thank God they live here. As bad as we are there are FAR WORSE places to live ruled by FAR WORSE scumbags than our rulers. Think how lucky we are to be able to vote people out of power or impeach them if necessary. Wouldn't the Iranians like to impeach Assholedidajob or the North Koreans impeach Kim Ill Dung? By the way, in Iraq the last election they had there was virtually no violence. Also our stinking liberal news media almost had zero reporting on their election. Maybe the Iraqis are finally appreciating the right to vote. Maybe they're happy that old Saddam was hung by the neck until he cheered up. Maybe it was worth our being in Iraq in a big way. Even Obama who originally campaigned on ending our "occupation" there immediately backed off and put our withdrawl further out. Anway I don't want to talk about all this political stuff, this IS a musicians website after all..
