I am new here and have been looking over the forums and noticed that You post well imformed replies with LOADS of imformation...

I am looking at purchasing a FULL PA system...
was told to stay away from Behringer for 2 reasons

1) they do not last ( crosstalk,overheat,channels burnout, just Behringer name alone is crapy)

2) they are in hot water w/FCC

is this true and what would You reccomend?

and lastly where could I go to find Me a bass player and vocalist/frontman I have been all over net and have yet to find any locally ( east TX/west NM

Wow, PA systems are not really among my areas, but I'll tell you this....after years and years playing with bands that owned their own PA's, I think I've finally found my own answer - contract it out! We have a guy locally who owns a nice array of PA equipment and he is a great soundman too. For a very reasonable package rental fee he will haul it to the gig site, set it up, run it for you and tear it down again. I am SOOOO into this, after years of back breaking lifting, stage and main mixes that don't sound right, and wasted money on faulty equipment.

Some people don't like Peavey amps of any kind, I think they're great. They sound good to me, are extremely durable, and are reasonably priced. You can't hardly beat them if you're gigging a lot. Later...fisherman bob

that sounds like the way to go, .... that sounds WAY GOOD for Me ... less to pack/haul (drums are enough for Me to have to do that with),and like You said .... soundman INCLUDED

I agree with Irminsul. Farm it out. You get more bang for he buck. Much more of a Pro thing to do. Makes you look great in front of a crowd. No worries once you hook up with the right Sound Company. Tax write off.
No squawbilin within the band about the mix. Include lighting and your on your way. You have enough to do laying down the groove with the bass player. Keys Rule.
