Sorry guys, but all those who gave me the help on the song, 'Beer drinkin, Whiskey Sippin', didn't cut it to the folks from Taxi.com. out there in Californeee. For those of you who don't know of Taxi.com, it's a web site that will forward your written song, and if it meets THEIR criteria, they will forward it to an up and coming artist and hopefully that artist will use your song in turn give you your agreed compensation. I'm trying to sell these songs, but they always seem to have a different way I should have placed a line in the melody or the chorus. Mind you, this all has a price. I suppose I'm bitter about the fact that from what I hear on the media, especially the crap coming out of California, the big hits as they say, there songs seem to have very little respect for the fellow man or woman or the common decent American folk. That is if you can understand what the hell there saying. Sorry about venting so much, but from reading all the crap you'all are going thru, I thought you might be refreshed to hear someone else's misery... Thanks guys, for letting me vent.......Keep on pickin'.....Sorry California......
Love is a four letter word...

Spent a year with TAXI myself...not impressed. I consider my music to be work in progress: I learn a little more each day, get a little better. I know that my songs my not currently be professional quality. That doesn't bother me.
What did bother me was when their "reviewers" fell all over themselves telling me how GOOD my songs are, and STILL didn't forward them. If you have managed to get ANYTHING forwarded (or anyone who reads this, for that matter), please let me know. I think it's a good service to get some impartial feedback on your material, but as far as actually marketing it for you...? I've got my doubts.

Dirty rotten low down censored censored ugly son uva SEACOOK!

Yeah - it's fun to rant.

But when it's all said & done, & the rant is over, it's simply time to go back to the drawing board & write some more, if the muse is still within ya.

Keep at it, Bobby. That elusive mondo-hit song just may be in the back of yer headbone waitiing for you to hear it. I only wish I were writing now instead of dealing with the crap...but life sometimes just gets in the way of what we want.

Good luck.

Bobby,
I regard your singin', playin' & writin' as just plain ol' good music, not some friggin' commodody.
Frig those fast buck pseudo-muzak indust- tree arse wholes! (they obviously don't know a good tune when they hear it.

Ya should do like Philby says and just keep makin' real music . I'd trust your ears a whole lot more then some taxi driver's any way!

It's been ,my experience that for every one good song I've written, there were 10,000 bad ones that came before it. Keep pickin away and you're bound to get it. Besides, just because somebody works for a music website doesn't mean that they know Anything about music. Some of the best songs I've ever heard were around the campfire at 2am, and I doubt those folks in California know anything about that.

I agree with all of you. It won't stop me from writing. Thanks for making me feel better. As far as that certain website, I will not be doing anymore business with them. They lose. Beware of them, they just want your money.......
Afewdays, you are absolutely correct.. Guess I started getting a little to serious with myself..
By the way, listened to your tunes and enjoyed them very much....
