Just lost our drummer :(

Seeking a drummer for an originals/cover project in the folk/pop/rock and some modern hard rock areas. Must have very solid performance skill and timing, the ability to learn very quickly, and finesse (prefer someone who knows how to control volume and play with brushes when necessary).

Inquire within

I'm witchoo, Kramer.

We just lost the guitarist I was so happy about finding. We've only had him since Sept, but he was working out very well.

We'd put a lot of work intp him, too, but his day job got too time-intensive or something. I'm kinda pissed, but whatchagonna do?

So we're needing a solid guitarist for a rocked up rockabilly/classic rock/country band.

Hey thanks everyone. Getting that email yesterday was like a kick in the throat, as we're scheduled to play at the singer/songwriters conference in Cap May at the end of March.

I sent out some emails and a myspace bulletin and think I actually found a qualified replacement, a friend of a friend, someone who I played with once when filling in for a gig for my friend's band. So whoopee, maybe things will work out

Shame this didn't happen a day or two before I left Baltimore...now I'm a couple of days driving but then it was a couple of hours...same for you Philby, could have been there already....oh well, I'm not making that trip again unless I have some guarantees.

I hope it works out for you both, sure sucks to lose players when you just got them up to speed.

Now that you're out gigging and hopefully making some money you'll have a much better chance of landing a pro drummer. There's nothing that attracts quality people like the pieces of paper coated with chlorophyll.

I'm with ya, man. We FINALLY found a smokin' lead guitarist for our band-age 53, been playing since he was ten, and man, can he tear that thing up!!

Years ago, when living out of state with his wife (now ex), she filed a restraining order (which I'm led to believe was a bunch of B.S.).
Now, divorced and with a young son, they both live back here.
Long story short: The heat goes out in her house, and the guitarist tells her (and their son) to come and stay with him. After a couple of days of her wrecking the house and his computer, he tells her that she has to go stay with her family. So, she calls the cops.

He violated the restaining order-in his own home. She came to him, and now he's in jail!
Oddly enough, the worst part is that it is a misdemeanor. If it were a felony, he would have to have a hearing within ten days, Since it is a misdemeanor, there is no set time limit. He could be in jail for months! :x All for trying to do the right thing and make sure that his kid was taken care of properly.

Hey Kramer, sorry to hear 'bout losing your lead picker. I've been there. Got so frustrated with the personal crap from musicians, I decided to do a single act. Did it for about 30 years, but I do have to admit that at this time in my life, I would really like to get together with some serious folks. I'm thinking about getting some folks together and seeing what happens. Good luck Kramer, you are very talented and I'm sure you will find someone.....
