I t was recently brought up that I was weird, which I am.but who in the band is trully the biggest weirdo ? Its the drummer (sorry kidd you seem stable but then again ) come on 'you guys bang on the drum all day your mentally unstable. In saying that though you are the one I want covering my back in a bar fight.(I would have said the lead guitarist but usually hes the one that started the fight ) cause some honey showed her boobies to him (crip )and her boyfriend didnt like it.and lest not forget about the bass player the mellow one in the band .the antagonist whos usually sitting at the bar getting the free drinks for the band  (phillby ) and daring the girl to go show her boobies to the lead guitarist . whats your thoughts?

Well, all I can say to this is that in most of the bands I've been in, I was the weirdo. That isn't necessarilly a bad thing, either. At least I'm having a good time, & it shows! (Yup - ya missed it on this one, ghost - I've never exactly been the "mellow one")

watch a professional first chair violinist during a performance.
most seem like they are holding in the last few bits of humanity.

Define weirdo. I don't know. We're all weird in some sense.

Over the last 5 yrs, there have been many postings on this subject to which I wrote a THEESIS.. (hell, I dont even know what that word means it just sounded right..) BUT, what I DO KNOW from yrs of being in raod bands IS.The Drummer IS gonna be the most likely "problem child" with drugs, women, emotional issues. etc.Demographics dont seem to matter.Ive lived in 13 states, toured 38 , Canada and Mexico and keep arriving at the same conculsions about the distinguishing characteristics lableling players.I think all drivin people have an imbalance that will manifest itself to qualify as "weird"to those who socierty deems as "normal"BUT, the line is getting more blurred all the time.WEIRD is becoming the NEW NORM I think. Those of us who know we arent "quite right" and dont seem to fit into societal norms know this early on. Being a Drummer at 8 yrs old pretty much doomed my teen yrs.Full blown alki at 18.. Bass players that I knew in 75 are still layed back like a mud duck ..dont give a F*** ...Keyboard players were pricks then , their pricks now.Never could put my finger on the Gtr player???..(mixtured of all to some degree). But yeah, nowdays , how dare someone call a musician weird???.Just watching youtube for an HR should show that we need a new word depicting weird. As musicians, we no longer rate. We've been upstaged.

Everybody is weird in different ways. You might think somebody who's weird thinks you're weird. I play frisbee golf in the dark with the wind chill at 2o below zero. Some people think that's wierd. I'm just a fanatic and if I want to play I go play. It's all subjective.

I dont know bout all this. The guitar player who's trying to touch the light string overhead with his tongue. Yea he's got to be a little different.
The chick showing her boobs to the Christian Rock band.
I would have to vote for her.

Yeah Bob, prolly the things YOU think people think are weird about ya are the things that we would just say "to each his own"If thats what you enjoy? Have at it..Usually we'll get a real good sense of who is REALLY weird when a hot button topic comes up and opinions are givin and emotions are runnin high. THATS when we form opinions about one another I think..:lol. Yeah , when your 20-35 ,ya got the world by the balls , NOTHING is outta bounds, or too weird to pull off. Some of the most intellectual musicians I know ,who were great at chess, business matters etc pulled some of the craziest stuff Ive ever seen while on the road.I always wanted everyone to TAKE ME serious when I would calm and vow not to do anymore crazy stuff but once your stereotyped, thats it. Hard to re invent another image. Yeah , Andragon every drummer Ive ever known has a higher than average percentage of "issues".

Bob - don't take this the wrong way or anything, but I think you're weird. Of course that could be the cabin fever setting in.

Well, I like the way he thinks and IM holdin him accountable to run for pres in 2012. ..Ive heard him make a couple statements (Ill need to go back and find them.. ) that drifted from his agenda and scared me aittle BUT, he's still the best hope we've got.. :!:
