Skid Row's great too. They came out at just bout the same time. Late 80s. Soundgarden used to be a mix of Zeppelin and hardcore punk back in 1987 or so. Then by 1990 they started heading in a metal direction, but with slow build-ups in their songs. And Matt Cameron's odd time signatures were just the icing on the fckin cake lol
