My old guitar teacher used to make & use Zilgen-brass picks. Never got the feel for them, myself, but I was more acoustic back then.

Let's see...an e-pick, something that pushes the strings down to the fretboard, add a robot drummer, something that blows and draws air through a harmonica, something similar for the bass guitar, a player piano, get it all synchronized to play some good blues together, then mass market it to all the blues bars in the world and make millions and put all the blues bands out of business! How cool is that?

Well my wife needed a good laugh after a rough day at work so I showed her my "commercial" for my invention .. that did the trick. She laughed all the way thru it. So I guess I'll keep it on youtube .. for a little while, anyway.. :P

Philby - yeh I dont like playing with a stiff metal pick either, but for an effect every once in a while its not too bad. I used it on the song "Must be Reality" on the slide guitar for an Eddie Money "Gimmee some Water" effect.
Carbon fiber is more flexable though .. idea.. carbon conducts ... hmmm .. looks cool too.. more research needed.. might give additional control over the amount of compression..

Bob- an all automated band would be extremely boring for concert-goers i would think...

Hey man , I'm being facetious. Sometimes inventors stumble on to some very useful gadgets. Who knows, this could lead to a new revolutionary way to play guitar.

Why don't you have your own website and market your inventions to the world. Start producing a new gadget on a limited basis and see if anybody buys one. Market your inventions directly to major music stores and see if anybody orders one. It wouldn't cost you a lot of money, just time. Now that you're unemployed this might be the time to create your own empire. Chances are you're going to leave your old job in the dust...
