And the more you cry, the harder they will tease you.
Do you think you can badger people into listening?

dude I'm not cryin or badgering. just making a point. my lil show isn't riding on support from bandmix! in fact it will have very little impact either way.
but you are showing one of the the typical responses on here; look for some way to ridicule or demean someone!
there are many good people on this site and some very talented artists.
and then there are the weaksuk asswipes who look to get some kind of twisted fulfillment at someone elses expense!

Hayden:
I considered a drop in myself, but well first off I,m not too sure how all the puter stuff works.
I mean it's easy to drop by here, type a few smart asssed comments and go off to be with my family or practice my gitfiddle.
Our band communicates on line via emails to stay in touch as most of us live in different towns. I check for mail here and @ yahoo most every day.
Though the quantity of my posts is fairly high. I really dont spend that much time on the comuter.

thats cool Sans.
I'm a lil puter illiterate myself, but this one is a pretty easy one.
just type in yahoo messenger and then download it! it's all easy step by step stuff and just takes a minute. then click contacts, and click add a contact, & type in hayden_king2000
then I invite you to the show!
it doesn't take up hardly any memory. and it would be a much better way for you & your band to communicate! you can all get on at the same time instead of waiting on e-mails and returns. you could have a meeting once a week or whatever .
hope that helps.....

I go to work at 1AM so I'm in bed by that time.... anywayz I'd prolly blow all your puters up as I would start off with a simple acoustic and then, without warning, blast you all with my insane distortion with the volume at 11!!

Sorry Hayden, I'd love to have the time to join in on this, but as I stated in another post, I'm just way too busy right now, and what few nights I have off, I'm either cramming for one band or another, or spending Q time with the family. I know that sounds like a weak excuse, but the only time I really have to computer interaction is here at my job (which is really kind of funny that I spend all day at work, working on my music career lol)...
Perhaps after the new year when the goofy season is over there will be some downtime for guilty pleasures.

NP Kramer. I understand peeps are busy.
when I used to do the flier thing for my bands, I learned that if you put out 500 for a new venue or town, you can count on 5 people. if you get 10 you did well. there doesn't seem to be that many of us here that hit the forums regularly, and even though I haven't had many guests from here I have gotten some support from the community.
as they say, sometimes "it's the thought that counts"...

We dont need no stinkin computers, WE NEED MARSHALLS
Personally Im a live player and linking with other folks thru computers to jam just has never seemed like much fun to me. Ive dont it on some other forums and it just bores the hell out of me. When I started there were huge latency issues, maybe its better now.
Im not blasting what you are doing just stating the obvious to me anyway.
Good Luck with the jam sessions, Im sure there are people out there that get into this kind of stuff, but most folks like me and Crip would rather shatter eardrums live.
Just keep leaving reminders and the folks that are into will start coming to you. Just like a live band you are going to have to build an audience, not just throw out challenges on a website and expect a huge turnout.
This past weekend we did a gig and a lot of people didnt show that had actually contacted me personally and swore up and down that they would be there. On an odd note we had a couple from England who flew all the way in just to see our band play. So I guess that makes me a World Wide Famous Musicians now. They said they had been following us thru the internet and wanted to see a real rock band live. How cool is that? So I guess computers and the internet arent so bad.
Once agian hang in there Hayden and good things will come.

"A winks as good as nod to a blind man"
actually it's not a collaboration project.
it's more of a singer/songwriter showcase. I guess it's a sort of an online coffee house. we take turns rather than playing together, and we chat in between performances. I'm hoping to build a sort of community of friends, fans, and fellow songwriters with the show, and have some fun doing it. we had a blast last week even though it was a small crowd.
hey it's still a live performance, even if it's at my desk!

The way things are going in this friggin town that may be the only way to play "in front" of people, even at your computer. There's fewer and fewer places that take live bands any more. I still enjoy playing in a band. The sterility of playing in isolation would be discomforting. I don't know how much I could do as a bass player and singer. I would need at least another instrumentalist. Hopefully as time goes on you'll get more people involved where you have a big "audience." Too bad you somehow can't charge "admission." Actually if you had some CD's for sale and a website you could announce that and maybe make a few extra bucks during and after your show. Later...
