Christ guys,
You know I feel so dim!
I read down through every posting from top to bottom of the page... and scarecely understood more than a few words!
Sussex is rather out in the sticks, and I guess we are a bit like the equivalent of people living in those swamplands in the US... I forget the state? Loads of horror films seem to be set there!

Hello Howlin J,
Is that stream all just the sewage outflow from your toilet!
Just kidding, and nice you are on a hill; my cottage has a field rising on one side and a raised road the other, and the ditch running along the full length of my garden has no slope at all so is just a soak away... in wet periods the water rises up to the edge of my patio, but has never yet come up to my door since I moved here in 1994.

Deer! Of course, since I got my bullets, there has been nary a one in my yard. It's like they know! They're still all over the countryside, but none here. I'll get me one or two before the winter's over even if I hafta use my OWN frikken truck to do so!

Hello Phil,
I am hoping for a deer this winter; we have plenty here in Sussex and they get hit now and then on the road, trouble is I only see one in the road when I have got my duaghter in the sidecar, and my fussy Asian wife would moan like hell if I rode in with a big deer squeezed in with Roseanne... though she would be delighted with the dear!
