I was never really a fan of his music, but appreciate any guy who can make a living playing loud and proud. It's a shame when insane folks walk up and start shooting the place up. RIP Dimebag.

and to think club security is still just as lax before.....I wonder how many other well known musicians will have to fall before anything gets done....oh wait...this is rock an roll

From what I heard and read, the idiot reloaded his weapon twice AND he escaped. And DamagePlan had quite a following, so I can't imagine how no one in the crowd pinned him down.

Theres actually some video of it floating around. You can see why nobody jumped on him and pinned him down more or less.

Anyways.... the real problem is drugs that make people psycho. irrational, etc.
Not really down to club security.

Before we had a plethora of antidepressant type drugs, and meth... didnt really see too much of that kind of thing.

oh, and he didnt escape. A cop came in through the back stage door and shot the crazy guy with a shotgun.

You wouldnt think it from my music but , I have evry thing he did on my ipod. He was verry inovative and fresh .
