Hey,
Ive never used a machine but I know theres some out there that you can actually "Play". If this is one of them, I would suggest not even using it AS a machine and just live track the thing directly on to the multi tracker. Using 4 trks, you put HH /RC and SD on 1, BD on the 2, SD and TOM fills on 3 , Cym Crsh on 4. High lite each track box from beginning to end with your mouse and "insert" an empty track.That way you dont have to worry about startin and stoppin.Doing it this way , you can go back and ADD anything ya want inbetween the other parts.That way , your tracks will have a live feel. Be sure and get down what your bass track will be first (If ya can)Of course, you can go back and change BD and bass patterns later by punchin IN or just highliting the part and erasing it to take it out.....IF you dont have THAT kind of machine , I would suggest an OLD keyboard workstation like the Ensoniq SQ1 (Ive got) or Yamaha SY55 like Howlin J has.The drum ROMS are great , sound real , and the technology is EASY and common sense based.(before the FREAKIN techys got ahold this crap..

)
That way your "drumming" will be touch sensitive, more creative , with drum mapping for the keys , you can put any sound on any key and its real EASY to edit all the ROMS (in MUSICIAN TALK not this computer horseshit)and make them YOUR user bank.Youve got 1000's of possiblitys with latin precussion , conga, steel drums etc.
