I get to shoot the sh*t with musicians from all over the US, Canada, and the UK.
I like it.
As if you could not tell from my nearly 3000 posts.
But hell, it cant always be just the music. How will I learn about the experiences that created the music and the musicians? How will they relate to me, if they dont know who I am? And from whence I came?
I listen to the music. I learn, study, improve.
I find myself caring about people whom I have never met. And may never meet face to face. I feel I have made some friends.
How is this a bad thing?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. That's what online communities like forums are about. I'm also a part of some other communities, and I've gotten pretty close to the members there, and actually have had the privilege of meeting one personally.

Conversing about things outside the realm of music is never a bad thing. In fact, I was rather surprised to find such a small section devoted to banter outside the main subject.
