What got me started playing Metallica,Slayer,Anthrax,Overkill,Forbidden,Exodus & Flotsam & Jetsam. It was when thrash first exploded in the early 80's. I was hooked from then on out.

Don't count on it, man. Don't get me wrong Slayer was killer in the 80s (no pun intended), but now they're just playing old material with new lyrics and a few less notes. I'll be listening though, gotta give em a chance.

I like a lot of bands, and a lot of sounds.

But Avenged Sevenfold just churns my butter the best (gross I kno lol)

They try not to be repetitive which I think is refreshing considering a lot of bands tracks do sound similar. Probably their most repetitive album had to be City of Evil or Waking the Fallen.

I hear a lot of people complain about how they aren't a hardcore band anymore, but personally I think a band doesn't need to be completely crazy for them to be so good.

A7X 4 Life... And I don't care what anyone says!!

There are songs off different albums that may be better, but I, actually, think City of Evil was one of their better albums as a whole.

I've got a lot of influences, but the one band and musician that put it all in perspective for me was The White Stripes and Jack White's guitar playing.

The first time I saw them play live I was changed for the rest of my life, right then and there I new I had to play music for the rest of my life.
