If you had to create your fantasy band out of famous people in bands (living or dead)... Who would you put in your band?

Fantasy band:

Craig Owens (Chiodos) - Vocals
Dennis Lee (Alesana) - Screamer
Alexi Laiho (Children of Bodom) - Lead Guitarist
Dean Herrera (The Human Abstract) - Rhythm Guitarist
Ryan Martinie (Mudvayne) - Bassist
Alex Rodriguez (Saosin) - Drummer

Trey Anastasio - lead or rhythm guitars & vox
Paul McCartney - bass or rhythm axe or keys & vox
David Gilmour - lead or rhythm guitars or pedal steel & vox
David Lindley - guitars or mandolin or banjo or pedal steel or, well, name a stringed instrument, & vox
Keith Moon - drums
& (of course!) ME on rhythm guitar or bass or mandolin & vox

I'd call it "My Dreeeeem!" & get lotsa cool stand-in guests like Bela Fleck, Ian Gilliam, Johnny Cash, Vic Wooten, Paul Simon, Dr John, Rick Wakeman, etc etc etc...

That's really tough, because you might name your favorite musicians, but they would sound like crap all together.
I dig Soundgarden, and I dig Rage. Put Audioslave together; I expected a monster supergroup. It was only okay though.
What I would like to see is:
1. Slash and Co. jam with Sebastian Bach and whoop some ass.
2. Alice in Chains drop their new guy and tour with Dropbox's vocalist.

.. *sigh* oh well...

Avishai Cohen would be my bassist, Phil Collins would be my drummer ( although this could change ), Chic Corea my pianist, Pat Matheny on guitar...they would all be bossing me around, though. But, they would make me sound good.

Wow, this is a hard one to figure out. So many genres of music, so many vocalists, guitar players, etc. Then there's the potential personality conflicts that might develop between bandmates. Since I'm a bluesman I'll stick mainly with blues people, but there's some rockers that HAVE to be in the band.

Lead Vocals: Bill Blue and Bon Scott
Lead Guitar: Freddy King and Roy Buchanan
Drums: S.P. Leary and John Bonham
Keyboards: Otis Spann and Freddy Mercury (gotta have him around for KILLER back-up vocals)
Bass: Dave Carey (if you ever get a chance to see him perform wear some Depends)
Harmonica: Kent Miller (I played in a band with him for two years. He's the best blues harp player in the world IMO).
Saxophone: Glen McRae
Rhythm Guitar: Jimmy Vaughan (Nobody ever played better rhythm guitar in a blues band, NOBODY)

Neil Schon (Journey), Guitar
Brian May (Queen), Guitar
Joe "the Hero Worshipper" Binns, Bass

Honorable mention:
Brad Delp (Boston), Lead Vocals
Steve Walsh (Kansas), Keys & Vocals
David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Guitar
Lindsey Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac), Guitar
Roger Glover (Deep Purple), Bass

Here is the undoubtidly most metal band ever:

Dave Mustiane (Megadeth) - Lead Vocals/Guitar (vocals backed by Tom Araya (Slayer)
Alexi Lahio (Children of Bodom/Sinergy) - Lead guitar/Vocals
Cliff Burton (Metallica) - Lead Bass/Backup vocals
Tom Araya (Slayer) - "Heavy Bottom" Bass (for the low end growl for stage)
Janne Wirman (Children of Bodom/Warmen) - Keyboards
Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) - Drums (cuase you have to know how to count a 15/16 pattern on stage to role with this pack, anything else just seems second rate) :)

If these guys fromed a band, the mayhem would never end.
HORNS WAY UP!!!!!
