Hey Guys,
By all means , continue on with these related discussions. The more WE talk, the more the pieces of this puzzle come together.I "think " I have that ASIO? Ive seen it anyway.. Even with the ASS Ive busted in the last 6 months, theres certain concepts I just cant seem to get. When I start mixing, my ole 70's brain takes over and I get every thing sounding like that era.Ive lately tried some radical stuff so maybe theres hope.As soon as I get a decent gtr plug in to work , Im gonna show off my gtr skills.I sold all my gtr stuff a few yrs ago.Anyway, yeah guys , just pick up where ya left off If you'd like.

Nah I'm good :P
And your mixing is pretty good. It has more... warmth than most of what's in studios now.
So did you make up your mind bout the USB one?

Hey Andragon,

With all the NOOBS getting into home recording you KNOW this mic is gonna appeal to these people.Ole analog dawgs like me are gonna say NOT SO FAST here me bellowing techy boys. ..Man , I can remember when the first Kareokee machines came out.MAN , people were flocking into the music stores payin mega bucks for these glorified tapeplayers that had FX, pitch control etc. Yeah, I think your right,in your thinking that maybe the more we digitally enhance the signal going in, like through the USB, or digital IN, the harder we'll have to work to get that warm analog sound that many of us just cant seem to live without.BUT, DAMMMMIT, there got to be a happy medium. The big studios use "outboard" FX in most cases and have mics worth 2000$ .Multi band compression understanding is a MUST also. I would KILL to be in a position to go to school for all of this.Man , its funny, many oldtimers can prolly remember when They offered CLASSES on how to use the OLE DX7.. ...Hell, people were gettin that keyoard TOTALLY void of any understanding of how this keybaord even worked. I still marvel when I take a 3.5in floppy and stick it into the ole Data Disk and dump a whole orchestra into the ole SQ1 from 89.Yeah ,tis mic will not be on my wish list I dont think.

Thanks,
John
