S I L E N C I O, a hard rock Boston band, was formed in 2000 by guitarist Marvio and singer Marcelo Carboni.
Silencio combines Marcelo's heavy metal edge with Marvio's unique hard rock/funky guitar style was what gave the band its unique sound.
Dave Lowe, the drummer, was added to the band's roster a few months later. Dave's love for classic hard rock from such bands as: Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith. Dave was a perfect addition to the band's hard edge and jam like sound, which would be the staple of things to come.
Bassist Jason Felito came a few weeks later and greatly influenced the band with "slap happy" funk riffs, and fast, hard hitting picking. Silencio is a unique mixture of technique and passion of technique and passion of rock and roll, heavy metal, classical and funk. Something that has to be heard to be truly understood.
Silencio has played at such venues such as: Middle East, TT The Bears, Sky Bar, O'Briens, The Rack, Paradise Rock Club.
Recently, Marvio (guitarist) moved out of state and Silencio is looking for a guitar player to keep their creative work going.
