Have any of you gone this route and published your own CD's via a third party source? I used to do everything myself but if you are going to get serious about then you need volume.

Can anyone suggest a good (Less pricey) place that you could recommend? Our singer got 2000 for about $1.50 a shot. I'll ask him where too.

Just thought this might be a good topic for anyone interested in doing this.

Of course Diskmakers is the best known. The price for 2000 you give is in the ballpark, depending on what options you choose. But I would highly advise going with a shorter run, otherwise you'll be giving those things to your grandchildren for Christmas presents.

Great advice and well noted too. I have what I need to create what I need right here but it just makes me think of the bigger picture and as you rightly say, Xmas presents.

Keep looking. You can get them for $1/CD w/ case & cover art.

I looked at a CD printer.
(It's an inkjet printer that prints a CD label onto a white-topped CD).
You could stack up something like 100 CDs, I think.

Ouch.

I have one of those. It's a Epson Stylus 200 I believe. Anyway once you have some artwork it's pretty easy to print .
right onto your CD's.

Has the exact sizes which you can run through photoshop or something similar.

Some years ago I created tapes for a band, then I was in using templates from another site. While you cannot print thousands, a small scale operation is perfectly possible once you have it all set up.
