I think the solo Angus Young plays in Ride On is one of the most melodic solos he has ever done. Check it out sometime!

But I think I will have to say the best solo work I have ever seen.. was Steve via playing the solo at the end of the film crossroads... At least I think it was him playing it I know RY Cooder Played guitar on the film and did most of the Maggio kids licks but the end solo when he takes on the devils man (Also and actually steve via) are both played by Steve and the solo on the Telecaster (A guitar I don't particularly like) is amazing the arpeggio's are incredibly fast an nearly made me hang up my axe for good.

But like I said at the start there are just so many talented guitar players out there and of course also no longer out there that its hard to define one particular riff being better than another.
