If you recall, we once had a sweet little fuel efficient little Chevy called a Corvair as a viable alternative to the prominent gas guzzlers of that era.
What happened to them?
Ask Ralph Nader. We needed to be protected from those dangerous things!
Hell, my big sister rolled a Corvair Spider, an is still alive and well!
Just what we need. More whiny arseholes in government to tell us how to live.
God bless FREEDOM of choice! (even though it seems a bit limited at times)
Howlin'
Oh it goes deeper than that Howlin,..

Nikola Tesla built an electric car in 1930..It actually ran by using power from a tower!! I remember reading in a past article that J.P.Morgan, and (who else) Henry Ford didn't like the idea of it very much and squashed any chances for production of an electric car.
If you're ever in the mood for an interesting history lesson. Nikola Tesla is one of my favorites to read about. The man was a complete Genius, and just got stomped on by corporate hogs throughout his lifetime.

You'll find out how much of a prick Thomas Edison was, how cool George Westinghouse was, and how without Tesla, their outcomes as powerhouses could have been very different had it not been for the real genius lacking in business savvy.
The birth of what we are trying so desperately to achieve these days concerning the automobile, and clean air efficiency, happened MANY years ago. 1930 to be exact.
Nikola Tesla died a poor man. But the next time you get on your cell-phone in case of an emergency (like calling a tow truck because of your broken down car), that's the real person you should thank.
"When he died, January 7, 1943, in a world at war, the FBI showed up within hours to open his safe–though Tesla had become an American citizen in 1891, his many boxes and crates were put under seal and unaccountably turned over to the OAP (Office of Alien Property). Many were released in 1952 to the Tesla Museum in Belgrade, some have not resurfaced. His is a legacy of brilliance and enigma. "
Tesla also actually invented the radio as well!
they did the same thing to the guy who built the "Coral Castle" in Florida; stole his anti-gravity equipment as soon as he died (and nearly beat him to death once before to get em).
talk about an amazing story....a 5' tall 100lb. man built it by hand and the stones were from 1 to 9 tons each. the one piece chairs on the "shouldn't even be possible" second floor weighed 3 tons each!
that guy has THE MOST fascinating story I ever heard!

Constatution Party.
No thanks! We do not need to turn our government into a theocracy. Without freedom from religion, freedom of religion would cease to exist.
I agree, but you need to read your constatution before you write Mr Baldwin off as a religous fanatic. The consatution party is about constatutional law, not the TEN COMANDMENTS.
And when was the last time you read the TEN COMANDMENTS .
All ten are good ideas.

I have studied the U.S. Constitution and the U.S. Bill Rights thoroughly. I understand constitutional law and the U.S. legal system better than the majority of Americans.
The Constitution Party is theocratical to its core. It is a party that promotes the lie that U.S. legal system was based on Biblical law, which could not be further from the truth. The U.S. legal system was based on English common law. English common law dates back to the fifth century when the Saxons first settled England. Christianity was not introduced in England until the seventh century.
If you want to truly support the U.S. Constitution, support the Libertarian Party. The LP is the only party in the U.S. that supports the U.S. Constitution and the entire U.S. Bill of Rights.
I've heard that much of the Constitution was inspired by Navaho tribal laws as well.
I doubt it since the navajo were in what is now the southwest usa, and at the time of the making of the constitution, the 'far west ' was probably the ohio area.
I could be wrong I suppose.
So... whatever happened to the power of the internet, and the huge grass roots movement that was supposed to have happened by now?

I like much of what the Libertarian party stand for however the ostrich defense and economic plan they back for America to just cower behind our boarders is suicide. Thats almost as stupid as obumer wanting us to give up our guns and just run away from our homes and children while they are being robed and raped. f**k that nonsense. I deal in lead. And its irrelevnt to me from whence it came or who said its based on such n such. I will kill to preserve my God given rights as outlined by said Constatution.
Thats just not how I would care to spend my retirement years.

damn the fornicating electoral college that the only thing I am gonna say about american politics....a neccessity during our countries inception and a burden in this the age of total information that the forefathers dreamed of, the political machine only wishes to further its own ideals and all we can do is claim to have participated living in new york I realized in my teen years that if you are part of the rural block then your vote doesn't matter because the cities out number you 3 to 1, there you have it disenfranchisement due to population disparity...gotta love it
I can't see the pic

I am beginning to hate them both, since they both are for the bank & insurance bail-outs! Jack-asses!
My point exactly. There's very little difference, and both have been dragging this country down for many years. Most presidential elections have shifted from lying about what they might do for the country to trying to make each other look bad and lying to make themselves look good. It's like watching two 8 year olds argue over a backyard baseball game...did not...did too...did not...
No matter who wins you can bet we'll stay in whatever wars they can find and they'll bail out the corporate buttwipes who put them in office every time, while the average people who did the actual work get laid off with nothing but their last paycheck, watching the CEO walk away with millions. It's been said before, the president does not run this country, corporations paying millions to lobbyists do.
Want proof? Go fill up your gas tank and tell me about the bill...go fill a prescription...politicians let that happen because they own stock in those corporations and others and they make money on it too, and the corporations pay millions to lobbyists who in turn send politicians on month long vacations all over the world and so forth just to get votes on whatever bill they want passed. That's how MSG got classified as a "spice" so now the huge food corporations can put MSG in your food and just list "spices" on the label...That's how gas got up to the cuerrent prices. That's how Merck kept Vioxx on the market 5 years and 100,000 deaths AFTER they knew it was killing people. Ditto for dozens of drugs. Wanna live longer? Avoid doctors...and drugs...ALL drugs are seriously unhealthy, except in life threatening emergencies. Chemotherapy kills more people than cancer does. Drugs in general kill more people than the ailments they are supposedly trying to treat. Politicians made that possible. Both parties...so yeah, I hate them both. And I can't justify voting for either just as the "lesser of two evils"...
A vote for either is a vote for more of the same, yes we definitely need a thrid party, one that wants to actually do what's right instead of doing what the corporations say do.
OK I'll stop ranting...
