ALRIGHT SO I GOT THE CAPS LOCK ON! I'M GONNA USE ONLY EXCLAMATION POINTS TOO! I MIGHT AS WELL! (DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THE SCREAMING FEELING OF IT!)

THAT'S RIGHT!!! I'M SCREAMING AT YOU!!! HAHAHA!!

Just kidding. Even I can't stand looking at that for too long.

Anyway, you are now talking to the new lead guitarist of HaleAmanO. The name means "house of the Sharks" in Hawaiian.

Here's a link to the band's website. Feel free to add us and please wish us well. This has been the most excited I've been in a long time about a band. I've always loved Reggae music, and these guys are incredible musicians, and extremely nice people.

So a new page is turned. No more One Day broken. Just many positive days and good times ahead.

PEACE!!!!

How good for you! Now you get to enjoy all those foods that start with "P" like "poi" & "pineapples" & my personal favorite - "pork!" Good Hawiian stuff, that.

Now quit yelling at me.

Good job Shredd. If you don't like the guys that you are playin' with then they ain't worth playin' with. Good luck on your magic carpet ride.

Stand Up,
Mary

Honestly man, it's not like I don't like my old band members. But damn, how long before the stagnation becomes a hindrance? I can't wait around forever for other people to get their s**t together.

I never did move by the way. I would have had to file for bankruptcy if I did. I'm just holding on instead. My credit may be f**cked, but who's isn't right about now?

This band kicks ass!! It's just in a different genre. These guys are killer!! And I hope to bring a level of professionalism, class, and friendship the band deserves for a longstanding career for all of us.

Watch out when HaleAmano enters the room. You just might have a good time.

I can so feel your excitement. It doesn't matter what the genre is. Just so you are having a blast among friends and the you are able to express your talent.

Hey, we usually visit Las Vegas in December. Do you have any gigs coming up around that time?

Sounds like a great deal! Maybe you can combine metal and reggae into a new genre of music. Enjoy!

Shredd, weren't you having some wrist problems? is this this genre of music going to be softer on your mechanics, or are you going to rip up some Reggae too? 8)

Shredd, you are to be commended for choosing a band that is outside of your bubble. I don't believe in sticking to one genre especially when it comes to a pay check but even moreso if you have the talent. You have the talent and you are spreading it. If you are familiar with the R&B band the Isley Bros, have you noticed that it is common to hear a "rock" guitar solo on many of their songs. That's because Jimi Hendrix was once an Isley Bro and they kept that part of him when he left the band to venture out on his own. It is better to leave your mark on other people than for them to leave their mark on you.

Thanks for all the responses guys. I really am excited about this band. Every member is very talented, and they've all made the Heavy Metal to Reggae transformation themselves.

If you've never tried Reggae before, give it a shot. It's not as easy as it appears. The chords are real finger twisters compared to Heavy metal. It's a whole new ballgame completely.

Franny, to answer your question, yea, I did have a pretty bad wrist problem earlier this year. But guitar playing has actually been good rehab for it. Construction is 10-times more brutal on my hands than guitar playing is. It would be nice to make the career change..Hahaha.

Black 57, Thanks for the commendation. I am actually being brought in as a lead guitar player. Although I'm a Reggae rookie, my lead style fits very well with the band for some reason. The chords had me completely flustered. It was downright embarrassing at times during the audition. But as soon as the guys said "ok. Do a lead." It was just a perfect fit. Even though I've never had any experience with Reggae, I was able to improvise pretty easily. The main difference is, with Reggae, a lot of leads are done in clean channel, and it was my clean channel blues style that kicked in. I did some pretty cool stuff with the wah too.

The past couple of days I've been really studying the songs, the chords, and practicing that Reggae SNAP rhythm style. At the very least, I'm becoming more educated to a genre, and adding a different dimension to my versatility as a musician. And best of all, making new friends, and having fun with the idea of all of it. The main thing for me to do now is be focused, and immerse myself 100% into what this band is, and take it one step at a time. I have a lot of catching up to do before I can play shows. They're hoping I'll be ready for a show on the 26th. So I better get busy.

Thanks again everyone. I'll be sure to let you know how it's going.

Peace!!
