Bobby, I see a lot of potential in your stuff, but I do (as always) have some suggestions.
Try to make your vocals a little more conversational. There is a tendency for you to overemphasize the words. I'm probably the only one who notices this, & it's cuz I do the same thing when I record, often to a worse degree, too. (I've really butchered some of my own songs doing this - I'll put up "Bound For Japan" for you to hit me with the same thing! I'll rerecord that one, someday, cuz I like it a lot.) It comes from trying too hard to make it understandable (cuz you're so proud of your words, at least for me). No need to mumble, but try to relax a bit in your studio, to give it that "live" feeling.
Your voice is quite good enough, but you might want to put a little more into it all, emotionally...just a personal preference that I think would work better, esp in this genre.
Next, I'd cut out the drums starting every song. Nice beats, but they should be used more rarely to start things up. You could try cutting out the 1st few seconds of each piece, so that everything comes in together. I see bands doing that a lot, too, to get everyone coming in on time, but they shouldn't really have to, & it sounds more amateurish when they do this. In the studio, it's a glaring statement that you are doing this all alone & you have no band. Not the sound I'd go for.
On the vox, you could mix up the effects a tad to make each song stand out more on its own, lest everything starts to sound eerilly alike in spite of the differences in instrumentation & melody.
Overall, very nice stuff for the genre. With some tweaking, who knows? You might sell a buncha CD's, or even sell some songs, after the ones who make the really big bucks hear them.
Welcome to BM. Best of luck finding what you want & need.
