Just seen this thread and I don't know they've been mentioned previously...but I doubt it!

A british Jazz/fusion band from the 70s(or was they 80's?)...they were called "Hatfield & The North" - they released 2 albums, the first was just the band's name, the 2nd was The Rotters Club. I think they've been deleted now and were only ever available on vinyl (yea - got 'em both)

my favorite little feat tune was "down below the border line"
how about Budgie? a britt band in the 70's were unique (esp the singers voice)
album: I f I were Brittania I'd wave the rule...
songs: Anna Gain / Black Velvet stallion
and there's Wendy O and The Plasmatics w/ Wendy O Williams and songs like "Put Your Love In Me"
Wendy O starred in a B movie called "Girls Prison" with NADA (a punk band in the early 80's) and "Piggie the famous punk" ....
also BANG / The Smears / Mr. Bungle ( a project of the Faith No more guitarist)...I could go on for hours!

HEEEEY

Enuff Znuff is not obscure.

Chip Znuff is the only one to actually pee inside of Madonna.

(he's a Howard Stern Legend) lol

Thrash metal fans might wanna check out the British band "Panic Cell." Gritty 80s thrash with a modern twist.

The Gories-
Album: I Know You Fine But How Ya Doin'?
(They have 2 more but I can't recall)

The Cramps
Album: Songs the Lord Taught Us
Gravest Hits
(A lot more, they've been active since the late 70's, highly under rated punk band)

Flat Duo Jets
Album:Two Headed Cow

Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band
Album:Safe As Milk
Trout Mask Replica
Lick My Decalls Off Baby
Ice Cream For Crow
(A lot more, I think he's one of the most influential artists that not many people have heard about, especially now a days, a lot of people can't sit through one of his albums, so truly get him, it's a shame.)

The Undertones
Album:The Undertones

The Gun Club
Album: Fire Of Love

Wreckless Eric:
Album: Wreckless Eric

The Electric Prunes
Album: The Electric Prunes
(Great psycodelic pop-rock)

the misfits!
everybody knows the shirts and the crimson ghost skull. but how many ppl have actually listened to the band? i mean, i would go around ask ppl if they ever listened to them and i swear one person asked. are they metal? and another guy thought it was a clothing brand. so in my eyes the misfits are obscured
