My idea of a redneck is a guy like me. Working man. Takes care of bussiness. Provides for his family. Smacks his kids to teach them that life's mistakes always have a consequence. That way they respect themselves and others and wont be scared to fight for their rights. Dont care what fancy dressin and talkin faggots thinks about his way of life. Aint afraid to hug his friends or fight his enemies. says what he thinks no matter if he's standing alone or in Church. Can live outside without air condition and enjoys the sound of rain on his head. Knows how to fix stuff. Not just buy another. In my way of seeing life a man like Paleopete sounds like a redneck. We could disagree maybe even scrap a bit, shake hands and share a cold beer in the same day.
My dads neck is red from years in the oilfield. Ive felt his love and the back of his hand in the same instant. I know his strength and wisdom came the hard way. Still a hell of a man at 80. I thought I hated that man in my rebel years of hormone rage. I will be at a loss when he passes.
