Hey, Zip, I don't know all the rammifications of that, but I sincerely hope that it isn't too serious. Know that our prayers are still with you & your son as he recuperates.

Tell him to stay offa roofs in the future. That would have freaked me out, too.

I know roofs scare the bejeezus outta me, & insurance co's cost a frikken MINT for roofers. I ain't doing much of that these days, anyway.

Your faith & friends will pull you through. Just remember that.

Looks there shouldn't be any long term problems.
There's going to be a little physical therapy, and a lot of resting. So... it turned out about as good as it could have.
You would have had to be there I guess, but I really did not feel good about it when it happened.

So you could either say that we were very lucky, or that a higher power had a hand in things.

Phil: Ya, his roofing days are over. No more of that kind of crap.

Sans: Thank you for that. He is doing better than everyone thought he would right now. As far as being able to move around and not be in agony.

KIDD: I'll email you soon about stuff.

I'll be taking a break to keep him company and reflect on things.
Thanks again to all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

Zip,

Cin and I are sorry to hear of the accident. As parents of three boys, we have known the feeling many times. It's a relief to know that your son is on the mend.

I have had a few unfortunate encounters involving gravity in my time.

If you havent done so already, perhaps you should give your dad a hug. As a Grandfather myself, I feel that that would go a long way toward mending a saddened heart.

Zip,

Sorry I didn't have time to post anything yesterday when I saw this, I was already running late.

Sure sorry to hear about this, I hope he's recuperating and doing well. I know quite well what kind of problems this can cause, some kid decided to push me off the slide sideways when I was 10, I still have back trouble but it's been doing pretty good the past few years.

Keep a close eye on things for a while, spinal injuries can take some time to develop into real problems, I thought nothing was wrong until I was around 18 when I really started having trouble, but did have a few minor bouts with it before that, just thought I had bruised something or pulled a muscle. I played baseball hard and a lot, thought that was causing it for years until I finally realized it was still happening years after I gave up baseball. Took me probably 20 years to figure out it originated when I got pushed off the slide, I finally remembered hearing something crack when I hit the ground and put two and two together...

Good luck to him, I really hope this didn't cause any long term problems, like I said I know all too well what that's like.
