Sing along now:

How do I live without you, I want to know.
How do I breathe without you, if you ever go...............

Well, unless you plan on helping me clean the vomit I just puked, you should stop singing it
Kidding kidding.. Sorry to those who really like that song.. it's just that it's so vain and here's the kick: it's played everywhere, all the time. :(

Okay back to topic:
How do you become a musician with patience? (Be serious please.. I see you laughing there in the corner... not cool)

[I don't wanna see: "Become a doctor, you'll have patients haha", as an answer :P ]

I'd consider myself one of the most patient people in the world. I survived my daughter's terrible 2's with a smile on my face. I've worked hard for years to achieve enough financial independence to buy decent gear (would not buy on credit).. When I want something, I save for it patiently, and pay cash.

But even with all my patience.... musicians piss me off to no end. Drunks, no-shows, lack of talent, egomaniacs, etc...

I think that, to play music and keep low blood pressure, you almost have to be a buddist, or on some seriously good mood-altering drugs.

Sorry to hear bout that. Music can always be a form of a shelter from all the sh*t that's being thrown around you.

well I was never really 'gear-less', but I had substandard gear for years, in fact, of 25 years of playing, the last 2 years are the only ones that I would consider myself properly geared with reliable and decent stuff.

It's all good though!

It can be a struggle to find a forum that fits. I've abandoned forums in a snit before. It's an act of desperation. Nobody's fault, really, just unfortunate. I feel bad that it didn't work out for her.

I'll give nor expect any quarter.

(not meant for anyone in particular)
stfu and leave if yer gonna leave. telling anyone about it is a desperate and pathetic act.
"Does anyone out there care?" - probably not.
Quit fishing for sympathy cause you'll likely stir up some jerk who just wants to do whatever it takes to get you over that edge (me).
If you don't like the way anyone plays then take yer ball and go home.
this is not your forum... this is a public forum...
don't post about it... don't whine about it... just go

of course you have every right to write a goodbye thread and then not follow through and prove me right...
but then I have every right to make fun of you for it.
(I know I'm swinging a bit late on this one... but I can't help myself)

I think you are somewhat misled...
start thinking frankly under-pants-head...

ya, I have a short wick... I should probably work on that...

I've been thinking about texas after they let joe horn off... what a place to live!
seriously, I think joe prob deserved 2 yrs ... just to make sure he took it seriously enough, after all... the guy did go outside after being told not to...
but I digress...

afa solving the worlds problems... at this point I think it is beyond repair... and perhaps should burn to the ground... but that doesn't keep me from forgetting from time to time, and reaching out with benevolent advice.

I don't ever remember seeing a post by Sindy. How could somebody leave something they were never really a part of? Later...
