I hope you did not get those solid state reds in the box. No flavor at all.

All I can is...

HOLY FRIGGIN SH*T!!!!!!

We had our first practice today as a complete band again. The bass player is not official, but he will be doing some gigs with us as we feel each other out. But he's good and we like him, and he seems on board with us. He says he has been looking for a band like ours, with this level of singing, songwriting and talent.

I think I finally have the band in place, that I can take to the next level!!!!

It is the best version of this band we have had.

The practice was UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

If this holds together, within 6 months to a year, we will be one of the best bands in all of Atlanta. I have no doubt about that whatsoever. And as long as I have been in this business (playing on the road since 12 years old) that is a HUGE statement coming from me.

You guys stay tuned as we tweak things, and get back into the studio.

It will literally kick the ass, of anything you have heard from us so far!

This band is going to make it.

I'm not deluded at the prospect of being nationally known, but I GUARANTEE you, we will be known throughout the Southeast over the next few years.

It's that good.

I'm very very happy right now!

Craig, I'm happy things turned out well for you guys. It's such a pain trying to put a band together and even tougher keeping one together. It took some time to find our drummer when the first one moved away and even longer to find our "singer". I'm not tired of listening to your old songs yet but I am looking forward to hearing some new stuff from you guys.

Thanks brothers!

I'm looking forward to getting back in the studio.

The demos we have up are almost a year old. The band was just forming at the time, and didn't have their parts well crafted yet, and there were only 4 of us in the band at that time. The bass player was a friend and was just learning his instrument.

Since then we added a second lead axe who shreds like a maniac, and also sings. We have a real bass player now, who also sings, and we have a ton of new music that no one hears except at shows.

We have thousands of fans on MySpace who have hung with us for a year now, in spite of not putting up any new songs, other than Taylor's Song during that whole time. Most of them have no idea how rockin' and even heavy, some of our stuff is.

We've got at least 25 songs I haven't even been able to share on here yet. But hopefully in a few months that will all change!

Craig, congratulations! You guys will probably do great. One day I am going to have to tour the nation and see all the people on this site perform.

When you get those audio demos up, your new stuff, you have to tell us right away. In fact, put a bulletin on MySpace, and even call CNN. :D

But anyhow, keep going, man! Southern Mischief all the way!

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

 ...This is just waaay too eerie on every level! We're going through the exact same thing since our last bassist left for Fla. We auditoned this guy and really weren't too happy with him but we just can't keep cancelling our gigs... we took a chance and did the gig with him! Whoa... it was like a Jekyll and Hyde transformation.... this guy kicked ass and was all over the stage! What a show.... turned out so good that the signed act we opened for asked us to share the bill with them this Sat. night a a real hot nightspot on the water! Something's in the air..

That's awesome Crip!

Maybe we've just paid enough dues by now, that finally, we're due ourselves!

Wishing you continued success my friend!

I'll report on how our gig this Friday goes, maybe even post some audio from it!

Well, I'm happy to report that everything is "official" now.

We have a new permanent drummer and a new permanent bass player.

The drummer is not of the caliber as our original drummer, but our first drummer had been playing over 25 years. This new drummer has been playing only 4.

But he does one thing BEST of all the drummers that have been here, filled in, or auditioned for us. Which is he BANGS THE HELL out of those drums, and gets in a really solid pocket with a strong backbeat. A really nice groove that has been making the music "pop" like I wrote it to do. The fancy fills will come, and in fact, he gets better at those every single time we get together. But he is committed, and that, together with the strong groove he puts to the music, makes him good for the band. He also always has tons of energy and a huge smile on his face, which just adds to the energy of the band. I think being a black dude is awesome too! It takes away the often unfair stigma that Southern Rock can have, of being racist, which of course, none of us are.

The other guys doubted me a little for wanting this guy in here, cause their thinking was "We had a badass drummer, why aren't we trying to get a drummer of the same caliber in here?" I understood their concerns, but sometimes you have to follow your gut. This guy has already turned down a management offer at his job, which would almost have doubled his salary. That shows a HIGH level of commitment to this band and leaving the schedule as open as possible for us.

But the bass player is a really good bass player, and when he commented that he thought our drummer was really good, that helped sell the other guys better! Cause as any bass player knows, the drummer is their best friend. It is drums and bass that establish the rhythm, and if the bass player is happy with the drummer, and vice versa, then you know they are both in time and can play well together.

So, we are a complete band again.

Everyone is on board, it is all official.

I'm very excited about the future!

I am no racist, I hate everyone  Anyway to be real for a moment, I am proud for you guys. Sometimes if not more often than not it is better to break someone in to fill a position that has a specific skill set. Less baggage can mean a much better fit into the scene in the long run. I'll wager as your new drummer becomes more a part of the "band"
He will do all you need and then some.
