Would it be out of line to...

Create a post listing all the bandmix member names who don't bother to respond when you send them messages? I certainly would be interested to know that a person tends to blow people off, wouldn't you?

I would certainly do it. Freedom of info, & all that.

I totally agree as well. I know that I'd personally never blow anyone off and I'd also like to see a list of those that think that they're "too good" to respond. Probably because they absolutely suck and overstate or lie about their abilities. I'd be willing to take them all on in a show of talent. At least people get in touch with you bro. I haven't had anyone contact me yet, but I'm glad to be becoming part of "the gang" around here. Go for it brother!!!

Yeah, but some people have likely made an account and don't check it any longer, for various reasons. There are so many people like that, you are likely to just fill thread after thread with them.

Bandmix won't necessarily delete them, because having a large number of people signed up still looks good, whether they are active or not. They would like them to be active, because that would mean more ad-views and therefore revenue, but they'll take what they can get, to have the site appear important.

Allow me to play the Devil's Advocate: perhaps the person is out of town, their computer's broke, they're in a band and not looking on Bandmix right now, or they just looked at your profile or heard your tunes and said "no way". Posting the list does nothing for you, and possibly would have the opposite effect: people might think you're being a d*ck. Like everything else on the internet, the absence of information does not mean you can assume anything. Just move on.

well I was searching again today, and used the 'active within 2 weeks' filter as well as the 'currently seeking' filter options, and each profile I thought had potential, I checked against my sent items, and realized that most of them I had already 'attempted' to contact more than two weeks ago, and never heard back.

They are the ones that I more or less were referring to.

The ones who never log back in don't even get past the filter.

Would you rather your bandmate be a devoted dick, or a guy who just blows you off when he doesn't feel like coming to practice.

I would vote for the devoted dick; Yet I feel that Jimmy has a valid point.
A "non responsive" list may be helpfull, but I,d hate to condem an innocent man to the trash heap for, lets say, a computer problem. Band mix probably should auto delete anyone whom is not active for a month.
Unless that individual is a paying but unresponsive member. It would not have bothered me if they had dropped my account while I was inactive. It is easy enough to sign up again.

And yea Band Mix wont delete accounts do to advertisement costs based on that.
Other than computer problems there's just not a good excuse. They don't need to check their account, just have to check their emails. And it only takes a minute to respond and say your not looking for anyone at this time. Wow, see you can even do it nicely.

When I first got my account I did take it personally, and it did bother me.
I respond to everyone that contacts me.

Pretty funny when one person wouldn't respond at first but later when I was looking for something else did then.
I still responded but thought to myself what a d@#k.

Now if a Musical Genius like Irmy treats me nicely there's no reason why anyone else can't.
