Let's say I'm looking for a lead player.
And a guy's profile says the guy is looking for:
Accordion, Acoustic Guitar, Background Singer, Bagpipes, Banjo, Bass Guitar, Cello, Clarinet, DJ, Dobro, Drums, Electronic Music, Fiddle, Flute, Harmonica, Harp, Lead Guitar, Mandolin, Other, Other Percussion, Piano, Rhythm Guitar, Saxophone, Steel guitar, Trombone, Trumpet, Ukulele, Upright bass, Violin, Vocalist - Alto, Vocalist - Baritone, Vocalist - Bass, Vocalist - Soprano, Vocalist.
REALLY? He's looking for Bagpipes, Banjo, flute, harp and a DJ? WHAT? You're not ALSO looking for a Tibetan Death-Gong?
But everyone knows that a band with bagpipes and a harp and a DJ . . . NEEDS a Tibetan Death Gong!
Look, guys, just list the few instruments which you are REALLY interested in. Don't make yourself sound desperate to just play with anyone at all.
Do yourself a favor, get a little more real; let yourself be taken seriously.
None of use knows how good you really are, and if you list everything then that's kinda a strike against you..
Maybe you're actually a sensational musician, who knows?
(incidentally that list is a real list from a real member here.)
All different styles, all originals. Looking for folks who can sing harmonies, m/f.
