Dayne, I've offered you a lot of valuable advice about soundcloud and you've even followed some of it, so here's more.

1 - you've created a custom tag for the song that leads to heading where listeners can click and see that it's the only song on the entire site with that tag. neat, but not useful at all in getting you any real support. change it to #blues and jazz, #bluegrass, #folk, anything that will make your track come up when people are actually listening to those genres of songs.

2 - when I listen to your songs, the song I hear afterwards is mine. and it's a weird one. if you followed those tags I talked about to some other music that sounds more like yours and liked, commented, reposted, followed those artists, that's what people would hear after your songs. they wouldn't be chased off by weirdness.

3 - include a short explanation of the song in the track info. tell the listener that you live in the Ozarks. tell them what that means to you. tell them what the message of the song is, what you're trying to convey with a short instrumental about mud in your general area.

just some thoughts. good production on this one. you've gotten rid of the hissing, buzzing and long intros outros with no music, clanging guitars, etc.

I need to come out and visit you and hang with you and watch you do all this ..that's just too much for a dumbass like me to handle..I am impaired.. if I could watch how you do it..then yes..but I need to be your apprentice.. sad..an older person like me being so dumb..but then we are a product of environment and the cards we were dealt at birth..

when I joined this forum 4 years ago, several members made fun of me for not knowing how to digitize my music and post it online or work with online collaborators, but I persevered. I was in a computer class with new Mac computers in a private school in 3rd grade. the next year, I switched to public schools and only saw computers two more times in 9 years. that's less than 2 hours in 9 years. I raised my hand and asked the computer lab teacher where the power button was and he singled me out, thinking I was being a clown. I told him I haven't seen one of these things in years. I work in construction. I never use computers at work. but I wanted to learn this stuff and I have learned some, but need to figure out more.

Schmed..want to explain..I cant use a microphone as line in or as micing the amp cause I dont have a good mic and the reason is I dont know why..I own a Audio Technica mic and a Shure SM 58.. neither one is good for micing the new Yamah FG-830 acoustic guitar.. yes.. you can hear the guitar but is so faint not worth listening to..if I use software to boost the faint signal then it also boost the noise floor..hissinig etc.. until I find a good CONDENSOR mic that will need 48 V power I am stuck.. the way I did this one was I recorded the Yamaha FG-830 with the Tascam DR-05 recorder..dropped the file onto computer..imported that file into the Ableton recording software, then used the Cordoba Fusion 12 which has built in mic and pickup in the guitar and used the Tonepost UX2 interface recording it as a track..and believe you mee trying to match those signals was hard cause using two different sources where an ideal situation would be to have a quality condensor mic and record all tracks with Toneport UX2 and Ableton software rather than having to use the mics on the Tascam DR-05 to mic an acoustic guitar because the mics I have are either clogged with dust or age has ruined to cartridges? both mics were used in 1981 but both bought new.. 37 years of age..years of use while playing in bands. money money money..money would make problems disappear..

Yeah, with mics that old, the diaphragms may have seen better days - humdity, dirt, etc can kill them over time.
Ever tried coated strings on that steel string guitar to help get rid of the string squeak?

here's a good tag for an instrumental track like yours Dayne. edit it to this and see if that doesn't help. and ignore those scammers selling plays, likes, followers, etc. I've never payed them any mind and they left me alone eventually.
