When I was learning to play bass all I had was a Kingston instrument (which wasn't bad), a Mel Bay instruction booklet and "Play Bass With the Ventures."

Sadly, I really didn't care to learn songs like "Red River Valley," I wanted to rock!

Allman Brothers. What a story. Gregg and Duane Allman are both gone.
I heard Dickey Betts went to visit his mothers grave. Next to her was the grave of Elizabeth Reed. I don't know if any of this true. Anyway the story goes he went home and wrote the song.
I love that instrumental. Time goes on doesn't it?
