"Theme From a Summer Place" is great.

as far as picking a "favorite" instrumental....fuhget about it. 90% of what i listen to is instrumental music. jazz, classical, ethnic stuff, bluegrass fiddle tunes, jazzgrass, etc.

and when i play solo gigs...i'm playing 100% instrumental tunes for upwards of three hrs.

but i'll throw one in the ring that's ONE of faves since i was just futzing around with it on gtr.....

this from Vince Guaraldi... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTA3aOfrDHA

The ELO album is great, I've always loved it(or any album they've done), I tried to listen to the first Santana tune you put up, but after the first 2 minutes, I kinda jumped around fast to the end, never been a big Santana fan. Steve Vai is tremendous, that's the first time I've really watched him play a true master, but you know to be brought up in the Zappa school of guitar, he sure does have a left hand fingering technique reminiscent of Clapton. Sebadoh - Sforzando is catchy and I love the sign on the store "Harmacy" how true. Yet I still think I'd stick to my instrumental by Bach as my favorite.
