Is there a message in that? "Your assholes are nastier than our bastards?" Should we just blow off everything since both sides do it and both have their own statistics and web sites?

I don't know, I really don't. But I'm not optimistic about our future.

The most effective individuals in getting their message across were people like Milton Friedman. He was a total gentleman when explaining something, or when he engaged in a debate. He never needed to resort to insults or falsehoods because his logic stood on its own. These other types don't posses that type of intellect so they either have to make stuff up to try and win an argument, or resort to slander or some type of what they consider humor.

As far as the politics of it concerning the two major parties, that's just the system were stuck with. Some may see it as a ray of hope that an outsider was elected as president, although there were better options, so its highly debatable whether or not we gained anything with Trump, just from that vantage point. I would say it does little to get us to a better place.

You appear to be debating this in a reasonable manner.
Sadly we have reached a point where all laws are being questioned and once again it comes down to who owns the guns...
That means... The killing will continue... HISTORY!

You are absolutely right... Tell that to the clintons that have long history of people suddenly getting dead around them.

Tell that to all the other control hungry freaks that have gone down in history as mass murderers.

So I will give you the chance to solve this problem of humanity. So abortion is murder? Should hitlers mother have had an abortion? Think of how many lives that would have saved.

Badstrat, may be the one to put this in perspective with his faith. In the mean time, I trust in God and Smith &Wesson. :)

I'm not sure it is really about weapons. In the 1950s Americans were culturally bonded, the whole country could be armed (and much of it was) but nobody was shooting anybody.

Along comes multiculturalism. And now lots of folks are shooting each other. The country is anything but culturally bonded and our masters have opened the floodgates...what is an American these days? Darned if I know.

We need to rethink our basic suppositions. We're frankly in a trick bag. But I don't think we even understand the problem domain.

That is funny Dayne...

What isn't funny is the truth that Mike is saying. These people are nothing more than traitors to the values of America.
You can call me whatever you want. Don't mean nothing especially when you are a lying, phucking bastard, only dedicated to the destruction of AMERICA.

DON'T TREAD ON ME!

Even Kick doesn't quite get it yet. We need laws to prevent anarchy. We don't need laws to undermine the core values of AMERICA. Big difference.

Just a little story to outline Mikes view.

On Being Irish

Seven year old Mohammad entered his classroom on the first day of school

"What's your name?", asked the teacher.

"Mohammad," he replied.

"You're in Ireland now," replied the teacher, "So from now on you will be
known as Mike."

Mohammad returned home after school.

"How was your day, Mohammad?", his mother asked.

"My name is not Mohammad. I'm in Ireland and now my name is Mike.”

"Are you ashamed of your name? Are you trying to dishonor your parents, your heritage, your religion? Shame on you!"

And his mother beat the sh*t out of him. Then she called his father, who
beat the sh*t out of him again.

The next day Mohammad returned to school. The teacher saw all of his
fresh bruises.

"What happened to you, Mike?", she asked.

"Well shortly after becoming an Irishman, I was attacked by two phucking
Muslims."

Remember that next time some crazy is trying to run you down on the sidewalk. Or trying to smuggle in heroin to kill your 22 year old child, or developing weapons of mass destruction just to kill you, or some democratically elected leader basically telling you to go phuck your non existent rights and basically... Yourself.

That's why we have protection. Let's see the rats scurry, let's drain the swamp.

Mike is 100% correct, there was a time we were culturally the same basically, all you have to do is look at old news reels or photos from the distant past.. there were Irish, Scottish, English, German, Italians, Serbians, etc.but the culture was basically the same, we all were basically Christian or Jewish, (Judeo-Christian),we all wore the same clothing styles, we were all FORCED to learn English the language that ids the official language of our great country..we all worked or we did not eat, since food stamps were yet non-existant..most of us lived in rural areas as it had always been done, for the most part.. I agree with Mike 100% it was different when we were culturally one, maybe not ethnically, or racially, but we were one as to VALUES! and that is what keeps a country strong, not the fact as Mike pointed out correctly, that we are armed with guns so much, but being armed in my opinion is not a bad thing, but being armed is not as important as being one culture..look at France, United Kingdom, at how well multi-culturalism is working out looking over their shoulders constantly waiting for the next bomb to go off..? it will never effect me out here in the country, I will never expect a terror event out here, unless they are just plain gunning for me.. and as Slacker said, say one dumb thing on facebook and you might have stirred the hornet's nest and now you have some nut case seeking revenge.. LMAO

And black people weren't allowed into white restaurants. Jews weren't allowed into golf courses. Native Americans were living in concentration camps for the last century. And Jesus was a Capitalist.

The past always looks like the good ole days...but they never were.

I do agree that we have been splintered but that is more a product of the Democrat Party propoganda to win elections. Socialism presents itself as high-minded fairness for all people, but then that government is run by a small group of fascists who want to be the moral compass.

The DNC cheated Bernie Sanders or we might be a Socialist nation right now. The Democrat Party has been taken over and is now the Socialist Party. The old guard is being pushed out. Our next election will be even more critical than all which came before.

That would be damn good shooting. Especially if they were shooting back.

Up here in NY we have to prove that the person that broke into your house... Actually was threatening your life. That means you can not kill him because he entered your house illegally... If that person only verbally threatened you with a gun or a knife... That is not enough reason to protect yourself.

This whole NY point of view screams of our national political correctness. Any illegal foreign nationalist has more rights than an American Citizen. That is why KATE STEINLE DIED.

TIME TO DRAIN THE SWAMP!

I didn't say it was perfect Ted. But there were hardly any shootings, no terrorism and a 12 year old kid (me) could ride all over creation on his bike without fear and without parents worrying.

I can't pretend I see this as an improvement.
