Tell ya what, Dane. I've tried to explain this in plain simple language to make it easy to comprehend.

I've been playing bass for 43 years and I can't touch this. I can get close but @ that clip? Nope. Not w/o woodshedding on my instrument for a couple weeks. I'm being brutally honest here. I'm not kissing PG's butt, I know MY abilities.

thanks jook...there are things i like about my playing on the trk and plenty that i don't. but at 1/4 notes at 196...that was the best i was able to do in one take.

Waste no more of your time trying explain things to Dane. He's already complimented me several times re. my playing on that trk.

he knows perfectly well he couldn't play even 4 bars of a walking bass line at that tempo.
and truth be spoken....that is what RG had expressed an interest in hearing....a walking bass line w his drums.

simply listen to RG'S drum trk on his page....and then check it against the trk w drums and bass.

as far as me playing fast...we've been over that ground already. i didn't set the tempo. RG did. I played at the tempo that was already set by RG! d'ya get that mr. cloth ears?

and again....RG's said he heard a walking bass line. so, that's exactly what i played. and i made the changes and laid them out clearly enough for Jook to understand them. (like DUH...it IS a 12 bar blues.....and apparently beyond YOUR comp)

now, when are you gonna bedazzle us with your attempt at making your walking bassline work w RG?
