anybody listen to it? a basic simplistic music it sounds like to me, but beautiful in my opinion .. Led Zeppelin got into it, and as usual, they seemed to improve on the idea..imo..

Carnatic that doesn't suck

Never could get into Indian music, not sure if it is the differing scales used. I remember getting the Concert for Bangla Desh multiple-album set, and listening to about 5 minutes of the Ravi Shankar side and pulling it off the record player.
Even the use of Indian instruments in western music I rarely found interesting - the Beatles' use of sitars, for example.
