nope, that's not what i'm referring to at all. i'm referring to your gtrs being out of tune with each other. and the nylon string being quite out of tune w itself.
look, you either hear that...or you don't.
i suspect that might be a cheaper gtr, yes? now, sometimes in some areas it sounds passable, but then in others, it's fingernails on the blackboard (to my ears). you don't hear that....fine, i get that.
but to my ears...(and my ears aren't even the be-all end-all) it's quite sour at times.
do you know how to check intonation on a gtr Dane? ....the bit where you hit a harmonic at the 12th fret and then compare it to the fretted note there. do that for each string.
they should be exactly the same pitch. if they're not.....you're bridge is off. or you might have a problem w the nut...or the fret slots might be in the wrong spot. or you have some old and tired strings. either way.....it will affect the intonation of the gtr if those harmonics and fretted notes at the 12th fret don't match up.
then again...if you're not tuning to A440, is that cos' you're not using a tuner but your ear instead? if so....you might need to recalibrate your hearing!
trust me (or don't).... there are some badly out of tune moments there.
