they loved their Peruvian Marching Dust in a more diluted form..(just chewin' coca leaves).. :D .. I always felt sorry for Mr. Dega with the wirerim glasses, content with his lot to live out the rest of his life with the pigs.. never wanting to take a chance on an escape back to France..

I just watched "Levity" last night. I had forgotten how good that movie was. Not a thriller, no one flying through the air doing martial arts, no car chases, and best of all it didn't look like a promo for a video game. Just a good human interest story that is built on solid characters. Billy Bob Thornton & Holly Hunter.

I just watched "3:10 to Yuma" again. Russel Crowe and Christian Bale. I had forgotten what a great Western it is It doesn't have a slow spot in it from start to finish.

I just put Seraphim Falls" staring Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan.into the DVD player. If I remember correctly that one is also really good.

Not sure if I can say I have any real favorites, but a few I like really well...

Hunt For Red October
Matrix (all 3)
Highlander
12 Monkeys
Fifth Element
Mission Impossible
This is Spinal Tap
Ice Age - Dawn of the Dinosaurs
several of Eastwood's movies are good
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Dances with Wolves
All 3 Bourne movies

I grew up in Louisiana. In the 60's and 70's. I've had to try and escape from rednecks wanting to give me a haircut with their pocket knives...called everything you can think of because I wasn't one of them...it wasn't a comfy place to grow up in those days if you didn't conform to the establishment's demands. My father was one of the most redneck ass h*les I ever knew, he threatened to turn me in to the police for "doing dope" that I had never even seen. That's why I started smoking pot. why get thrown in jail for something I never even saw? He had already been screaming and cussing me for 5 years about listening to rock and roll and doing drugs I knew absolutely nothing about...when he did that he basically finished turning me into a hippie. I fought him for 30 years about it.

It's a different place now, a lot more acceptance of modern ideas, back then it was not healthy to be the first person in school to show up in bell bottoms with long hair...I walked away from a lot of rednecks wanting to kick my ass...

I watched a movie on TV last night called "Good for Nothing"
Some parts of it had me laughing as hard as "Rustlers Rhapsody" "Good for Nothing" is a very entertaining movie about a ruthless gunslinger and an English girl he had kidnapped. Lots of action and laughs. That was the first time I heard of that movie.

Afterwards I watched D.O.A. with Dennis Quaid. Another good movie.

"Remember"

Not a good movie. ....... A GREAT movie.

It doesn't disappoint in any way and it keeps you speculating until the end. Christopher Plummer does a such a superb job that I was taken back by his skill as an actor. This will be a favorite of mine for all time. Obviously I loved it.
