picked it up yesterday at the swap meet along with a Danish Soborg free form bowl (no stem), a Butz-Choquin Metz Origine St. Claude France briar bowl (now these are valuable pipes fo' sure) a Squire Briar (not so much $$)a hardened rubber curved stem probably for a meerschaum Bavarian pipe, ?? a plain clay bowl pipe and this glazed end clay pipe bowl.. who is the personality on the front? I make out something like Savonga Amay? around top of the portrait..the writing might be Italian or Latin? and was maybe on the artwork before being copied to this pipe bowl.. pretty nice glaze or maybe enamel?.. let me know what yo think is it a Chinese knock-off?

I ntried to jew Billy the Cowboy down to 12$ then 13$ but he would not budge from his 15$.. shrugged my shoulders and did the trade..LOL

no offense to the jews, it is just a term for bargaining.. sorry, but I have heard that term so many years, that it is second nature now, sorry planetguy, as I said, no offense.. nigger-toes is a vulgar term for brazil nuts, but again, that is not meant to be offensive, just vernacular language that is probably not "correct" for the progressive movement's purpose.. to homogenize everything and then call it good.. no offens,e I say!!!

I did not have any maliciousness intent saying" jewing somebody down" and if i had known it was offensive would not have said it.. I thought an atheist would break all association with their religious and familial association with the group they are from, I was wrong, and now feel embarrassed again..progressive movement is a an overly sensitive group in my opinion.. they want no barriers of ethnicity, or race, in thei move for a one world government.. we all must break down the barriers and homogenize.. it's all good!

the fact that i'm an atheist has nothing to do w any of that. i have no idea why you think it would. i'm an atheist AND i'm a jew. yes, you can be both. i identify very much w being jewish. being jewish is much the same as being italian or part of any ethnic group. you don't simply stop being a jew because you're an atheist.

my father used that term all the time and I know well he was not a racist or a bigot..I probably picked that term up off of him, and I know damn well he hated Hitler and their mistreatment of jews, and he honored a jewish scrap man on the southeast side of Des Moine where we would go to buy cast iron elevator "buckets" to use as hog waterers inside the farrowing pens.. so please, just because a guy says jewing somebody down does not mean they are trying to be offensive in any way, it's just a figure of speech that has been passed down for generations..nv most probablty however, in non-jewish families..please don't make me out to be a bigot by saying that long-time saying..I doubt if religious jews even give it much consideration or thought if they are not trying to promote some agenda onto some group of people..
