Ted - I mostly agree with you completely. This is Obama's usual dog and pony show, move on nothing to see here.

The one thing I do think should happen though, is to take a good look at this and see that it is, in fact a fundamental interpretation of the Koran, not so much "radical". Yes, terrorism is pretty much a radical method of promoting an ideology, but they are operating under a fundamental interpretation of their religion. They take the book literally, same as many have taken the bible literally for many years. The "eye for an eye" comment in the bible is what many people use to justify capitol punishment. I agree, but not so much from a biblical perspective, I just think it's a good idea to make the punishment fit the crime.

Anyway I digress...this is a literal, fundamental interpretation of Islam. It can be termed radical as well, but I think people need to realize it's also a basic, literal interpretation. The koran says hunt down and kill the infidel wherever he may be found, they take that literally. Sharia law says the punishment for homosexual activity is death, they take that literally.

What people also need to realize is this country is at war, but not with a military group in uniform. They declared war against us years ago when two planes flew into the World Trade Center. Bin Laden declared war against the west in general before that actually. Our so called leaders just won't treat it as a war. That needs to change. I'm to the point I really don't care if Obama or Hillary calls it whatever they want to, their actions have shown they will not do what is necessary to overcome this problem. I don't care what they call it any more. They can call it out of control protesters for all I care.

This is only the beginning. I've said for a long time this will happen, it's a matter of when, not if. Of course they blame guns, they always do. Never mind the fact that a person still has to pull the trigger. Never mind the fact that they have been doing this same type of thing since long before guns existed. If they can't get guns, they will use a truck, a knife (they already do use knives), swords, bombs, anything they can think of including their bare hands to kill those who do not endorse their religion. This has been going on for over 1400 years. That's what the pirates of the Barbary coast were all about. Banning guns will only increase the black market, and leave guns still in the hands of criminals and terrorists.

In Mexico, guns are almost totally illegal. So why do drug cartels still have them? In France, guns are almost totally illegal, some of the strictest gun laws in the world. People affiliated with this same terrorist group killed 130 people, with military style firearms. And bombs. Australia implemented a forced government buy back a few years ago. Sell your guns back to the government or they would storm your house and confiscate them. Crime went up greatly in a year. Murder up 19% the first year, armed robbery up something like 48%.

Same here in the US. Chicago, Baltimore, LA...toughest gun laws in the country. Highest murder rates, highest overall crime rates. Gun free zones...the targeted locations of almost every mass murder in this country for the past 30 years. To these maniacs, gun free zone means nobody can shoot back. Chicago...guns almost totally illegal, handguns illegal, gangs shooting people every weekend, the highest murder rate in the US. And rising. And you don't hear Obama saying a word about it. Only when it's someone killing blacks or gays. But not when it's blacks killing other blacks, he sounds like a cricket farm.

I'm planning to watch Bill O'Reilly tonight, he says he has a lot of statistics about firearms coming up tonight, I'll have to do some double checking, but he usually quotes accurate numbers. What I do know so far though, Obama is pushing to bring more of these people into the country as fast as possible. He wants to bring in 200,000 people from Syria in the next year. We have no idea who they are, why they want to be here, where they come from, in many cases we don't even know if the name they give us is their real name. Most middle eastern countries have no criminal databases, in many cases no birth certificates, no real intelligence capabilities like we have here so we have no way to find out what we need to know. And he and Hillary both want to bring them in by the thousands. Hundreds of thousands...and after ISIS has proven they intend to mix their people in with the Syrian "refugees".

These people are not all from Syria, up to 60% are from other countries. Around 80% are military age males, not like any refugee movement I've ever seen. Usually I see women, children and older people who can't fight a war. The first few pictures I saw were almost all men, and almost all young men. When 130 people were killed in Paris, two of those responsible had Syrian passports, one stamped in Greece a month earlier, and ISIS claimed responsibility. Their connection to that group was later confirmed. They also now have a passport printer, so they can create legitimate passports that are near impossible to spot as fakes.

And they are already here. This guy was a born American citizen, was issued a concealed carry permit, and worked as an armed security guard. That confirms what I said earlier and have said for months, they are already here. OK so take away the guns, it's not hard to build bombs or use a truck, a knife, capture individuals and use other methods.

You may consider the "fundamental" idea a canard, but I think it's actually closer to the truth than referring to this as a radical thing. It's a fundamental interpretation of their religious manual. They take what it says to the letter, that's fundamentalism.

Otherwise, I agree with you 100%. On that I have to disagree, I think it should be seen as a fundamentalist view of things. Whichever way we see it, we have to come to grips with the fact that this is a war and it has been brought t o our shores. I don't really care what you call it, I care about how we deal with it. Right now we're not dealing with it well at all. This guy slipped through the cracks, the two in San Bernadino did too. We really need to do something different. And THAT is the idea Obama and Hillary just don't seem to get...what we're doing is not working, why keep doing it the same way? They don't see that, and that is the important factor. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is just plain stupid.

Sorry to ramble so much, there's just so much to this issue it's hard to keep on track...so many things all tied together...

OK so I tried to post and I see another post while I was typing...

What a CROCK...not a terrorist attack? Are you kidding me?

As you yourself posted, he called 9 1 1 and pledged his allegiance to ISIS, which is a terrorist group, he killed a large number of people who his religion says must be killed due to their sexual preferences, it was a terrorist attack. Period.

Sure, ISIS didn't specifically direct it, they didn't specifically tell the people in San Bernadino where or who to attack either but they still claimed responsibility. Saying it was not a terrorist attack because they didn't specifically order it is a cop out. They did order it, but indirectly. Their head honcho whatever he calls himself, issued a statement long ago for this type of "lone wolf" individual to attack any acceptable target anywhere in the world at will. It doesn't have to be specifically directed by his organization, they will still claim responsibility, and will praise the attacker, he's doing exactly what they wanted him to do. It also gives them "street credibility", and gives the impression they are strong enough to stand against the world's leaders despite our best efforts.

That's another thing people need to understand. This group does not have to specifically order any certain attack. Their followers are free to take their own actions without specific orders. Those who are sympathetic to their cause can figure out where and how to attack, and ISIS will take credit. The attacks in France and Belgium weren't specifically ordered by ISIS either. ISIS still took credit, and nobody is saying those were not terrorist attacks. This is no different, it was perpetrated by an ISIS sympathizer, who claimed he was doing it on their behalf, and by definition it was a terrorist attack.

A terrorist attack is any violent action taken in order to inspire fear for the purpose of promoting a political or ideological message. This was definitely a terrorist attack. Denying that is foolish. If you don't want to admit it is happening right here in our own back yard, go ahead. That's your choice. I don't plan to stick my head in the sand. I plan to keep my eyes open...it will happen again, this is only the beginning. This is two attacks in the past few months, and thousands more like them are already here. We have no idea where they will attack next, and so far the intelligence community has been unable to predict it.

They want to convert or kill every single person in the world who does not accept Islam. That means you too. Your family and friends, every single one of us is a target. And we have no idea who they are.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. World War III has begun.

ISIS supporters have cheered the massacre online and an ISIS communique referred to the shooter as an ISIS "fighter," but there’s no evidence that ISIS directed or had prior knowledge of the attack, terrorism observers told ABC News.

Small game hunting with an AR15?    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AR-15 I guess if you want to blow the 'small game' into a zillion little pieces!

Wow....you lefties can be such gullible duffers.

This guy was a student at a local mosque. The Imam who taught him was freshly out of prison for multiple bank robberies in NYC to fund terrorist activities because he is formerly the assistant to Imam Rachman, "The Blink Sheik", a murderous muslim preacher that tried to bring down the World Trade Center in 1993 during the Clinton administration. He's also the same guy that Obama was trying to release back to the murderous regime of Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, but that was spoiled when the people of Egypt rose up to kick them out.

So this guy in Orlando has direct ties to one of the highest ranking terrorists in the world, perhaps the highest in Muslim Brotherhood...just like Huma Abedin (Hillary's personal advisor and assistant) family. Don't expect the Dept of Propoganda to tell you this.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/09 ... about-him/

But before you swallow this latest wave of Islamic propaganda that makes this about "gun control" then ask yourself "How did the perp in Orlando manage to be cleared by NCIC for purchase of a firearm while on an FBI watch list?"

We don’t need more laws, we need this Administration to follow the laws we have. Just once in a while would be nice…

And this clearly demonstrates a massive failure of the vetting process which Obama touts as being entirely sufficient for clearing Syrian refugees whose backgrounds are much more obscure than American citizens.

And you might also think about the fact that this perpetrator worked inside of Homeland Security for a decade.

http://counterjihad.com/isis-infiltrate ... ontractor/

The Orlando nightclub terrorist who pledged allegiance to ISIS worked almost a decade for a major Department of Homeland Security contractor, raising alarms that ISIS sympathizers and agents have infiltrated the federal agency set up after 9/11 to combat terrorists.

Officials say Omar Mir Seddique Mateen, an Afghan-American who held two firearms licenses and a security officer license, was employed by the security firm G4S Secure Solutions USA Inc. since Sept. 10, 2007. The Jupiter, Fla.-based company merged with the Wackenhut Corp. after 9/11 and assumed federal contracts.

And do you have any idea how many high-ranking Muslim Brotherhood are in Obama's Adminstration including the head of policy for Homeland Security?

http://www.thecommonsenseshow.com/2015/ ... istration/

No, of course you don't because you've been programmed by the Dept of Propaganda to view any criticism whatsoever of Obama as racism or hatred, while becoming a perpetrator for his wicked agenda.

There won't be a chance to repent if we (the American people you hold in such contempt) don't stop them from disarming us.

The hypocritical double-standard you apply is painfully obvious also. We all know how much differently this story would be treated if you could hang it on someone who once voted Republican. Oh by the way...this guy and the last dozen domestic terrorist events were from people who vote Democrat. Where is that in the news?? Won't see that fact in the Dept of Propaganda.

Didn't Pravda inform you that a good many AR 15 owners plink gophers and ground squirrels as sport? My drummer does that at his farm. I used to plink big rats at dairy farms with the farmers blessing. I never went deer hunting with a rifle but my neighbor uses his AR 15 for that purpose.

One of these days you shall have a rude awakening because of your rejection of truth and acceptance of regime leftist propaganda. You hate the truth because truth is not in you.

Again....I don't own a single gun.

Yet I can read, and the Constitutions say NO LAW INFRINGING ON OUR RIGHTS TO OWN THEM

But I'd be all for making a law that citizens can't own anything the government doesn't own, including tanks, since we paid for them.

When the government disarms, the people can. Not a second sooner.

That phrase doesn't mention the Armed Forces...it says "militia" which are locally based para-military forces. Oy, with the comprehension skills again?!?!

And since I'm sure you don't know much about history either, these were independent State militias to guarantee there was no intrusion from a centralized Federal Government.

So they ought not to infringe on militias either.

Correction...he wasn't. While on the watch list, any attempt to purchase a firearm will result in a flag. He was placed on the watch list while under investigation, when that didn't turn up anything serious, or indicating reason for arrest or continued presence on the watch list, it was closed and he was removed from the watch list. After being removed from the watch list it was the same as anyone else with no criminal record. Being on the FBI's radar is not the same as being on a watch list.

He was not under investigation or on any watch list when this happened, and had been issued a concealed carry permit, and a permit to work as an armed security guard. Since he had been on this job for several years, it seems everything looked ok, even if it was not. We're still finding out about his past, I"m sure more will come out later on too.

Clearly the system failed somewhere along the line.

The overwhelming majority of homosexuals are non-violent and upstanding members of society. However, a study undertaken of serial killers throughout history to the year 2004 showed that the gay community is over-represented in the serial killer category.

http://www.adherents.com/misc/hsk.html

Technically, 69% of the serial killers in this study were homosexuals (i.e., people who were self-described homosexuals or people who had engaged in homosexual behavior immediately prior to, during, or after committing their murders).

Even radical muslims within Islam is nowhere near that number. We're at war with less than 15 % of Muslims, they just happen to be a much larger community.

What if 69% of ANY crime is committed by members of one community, don't you think it's wise to consider that there might a correlation somewhere?

Yes, and that failure is called "profiling"

For example 95% of American citizens should be placed on the TSA pre-check list and not have to endure the indignation of being searched like criminals at the airport for the actions of a small radical minority.

Instead, anyone who is muslim and attends a mosque that has ever had a radical teacher speak, or visited a radical Islamic website should be the ones being searched. And if they can be shown to have ever uttered a violent word in the name of Allah (or any other ideological cause) then they should not be allowed to purchase a gun legally.

Not that it would stop them from murdering anyone....

This is a muslim. I say this before the news has released any information about the jihadi who did this. 99% of people in this world don't have to wait for it to be announced, because it only takes common sense.

1. Obama will order his political machine to squash any federal agencies from calling this "islamic" though the entire planet knows that it is. My guess is that they will attempt to characterize this a "hate crime" instead, because it happened in a gay bar. You will hear them address "fundamentalism" (attempting to equate Christians with Islamists). They won't call this "Jihad", it will be labeled "Mass shootings" (because the gun did it!).

2. Their solution will be to disarm law-abiding Americans because of "religious fundamentalists" (their euphemism for Christians who vote Republican).
..

See? So predictable. It's Christians who drove him to do this, (if you can still believe the main stream media)

Not the Koran or his ignorant father or the Imam at his mosque or his perverse sexual behavior.

Remember when I asked why the shooting was all over the Internet and the news media didn't have a single report until hours later? Well this is even better. While our brilliant leader was trying to blame it on anything but Islam, they had the motive right during the middle of the killing. The gunman had stopped in the middle of his murder spree and called the local TV station telling them this:

TV station claims Orlando gunman made chilling phone call to network .......I did it for ISIS and for the Islamic State

http://www.standard.co.uk/news/world/i- ... 72266.html

A US journalist has described the chilling moment he received an alleged phone call from the Orlando gunman who declared: I did it for ISIS. and then said he had carried out the Pulse attack for the Islamic State and began speaking quickly in Arabic.

And our great leaders didn't know why he did it for days, or so they lied, and the news media only reported this days later. And that probably because it was leaked on the Internet first. It reminded me of the typical page 6 newspaper article in small print.correcting a false accusation that they had printed days earlier. Honest, you can trust potus and his regime. They wouldn't try to hide the truth from you.

After all, wasn't it proclaimed from the roof tops that his would be the most transparent administration ever, during the first presidential election?
