since you've gone on record asking for critiques, jook....here's my suggestion for the damn little that it's worth...i'd like to hear some melodic development. a tune at that length, no matter how good any groove might be, i need hear something to maintain my interest like some melody or soloing, or......

i do like the short melodic parts where they briefly show.....perhaps you might develop that some, or not.

Dude, I am simply developing 'vignettes' for a particular reason.
None of these are complete songs or meant to be complete songs.
They are composed to convey a 'vibe', nothing more.
If I wanted to write 'songs', I would write lyrics, sing and develop music pieces w/ more structure.
But that's not what I'm doing (although I CAN do that as well but I'm choosing a different route).
