Damn if I can figure it out! I can set one beat and my songs progress as any other, drum beat the same. Got 3 different drum machines, same problem. Got a drum kit, not that skilled at drums. WHATTADO, WHATTADO, WHATTADO,WHATTTADO :?

I hate programming drum machines. That's what keeps me from writing 1000 songs per week. What's in my head at the time is totally gone by the time I spend programming a few tracks on those things. I need to hook up with a real drummer again. Ahh, the good ole days in a real band ..

I take time here and there just to program grooves and such, then save them as loops, create a library of loops and when I am in the middle of composing I can usually find what I need, or at least modify it easily enough to fit.

Hey, @ Christopher Bishop. Thread is 5 years dead. That guy is long gone. Check his profile if it's still up. I play with drummers. They're not top quality players, but they keep things moving along. Programming drums (worth a darn) is hard. dealing with flaky drummers is easy (er). :D
