Sorry, Dayne. I appreciate everyone checking out my tunes and I need to listen to a lot of everyone else's tunes. I've been working like a madman on these projects laying around. Now that I can edit on the computer. Exciting! To me, at least.

sorry if I come across as an azzhole on a thread or two, but darn it, a guy posts a thread and gets a couple comments related to the topic and then it devolves into how great the rolling stones and ry cooder are..guess I'm an azzhole, but I make a "gesture" on another thread to make a "point", and I get called out by the moderator, although no action was taken for my behavior..

dayne....i weighed in on your tune in that thread.

but the way i look at it.....this forum (at it's best) is people conversing. and conversation often goes off in other directions from where it started. this happens all the time. as long as it's music related (in the gen music section) i don't have any problem when a thread i started veers off from where it started. anyway...that's my take and my three cents.

great thought.. I noted once RGMix starting a whole new thread about a topic he started because it veered way off course.. can't say I blame him in some instances.. he is a great guy, I was touched when he sent me a birthday song, all along I thought he hated me..

the two tunes on BandMix player has me playing bass on them, played everything.. overdubbed.. like Steve Winwood would have done it, still an inferior product but better with bass on it.. from now on bass will become first or second when overdubbing "parts"..
on "Coltranes's Dream" it was a walking bass line recorded first then I put a rhythm guitar track down, and then some harmonic guitar embellishment, I am still OVERPLAYING! I hate my self for this, why do I insist on throwing down too many chords? should have been basically whole note chords one chord per bar it is in 4/4 time.. maybe every other bar or two a 1/2 note chord with 1 ea. 1/4 note chords, and a dotted 1/8th note (3/16 note) and 1 ea. 1/16th note ..? yep, I am working on it, I hope to learn how to keep from overplaying..
2. I keep on patting myself on the shoulder with the job I did on "Nobody's Bizness".. I even like the song title cleverness with the borrowed from the band Slade Bizness.. Cum On Feel The Noize, it ain't but I am proud of the prevalent hook in it.. loved my bass playing, awfully proud of that, with some good bent-note lead riffs and runs.. I have the vocal melody worked out, but sadly, NO LYRICS.. maybe me and GuitarMike Birch can get together on this with you also? but we just work on lyrics and if I like your vocal melody notes better when the lyrics become available then you get song credits on it too, BUT I do not have high-speed internet so trading files will not be an option.. maybe snail mail?

I will sometimes post a link to a tune or two on Craigslist and I get responses like, "what the hell are you doing spreading malware" since it looks like millions of pop-up ads are there when visiting yourlisten.com/PieTime.. never here from them again, and they are now pissed for eternity.. I can get two tunes up on BandMix player, and then I'm out of file size space.. and I am seriously considering getting back to blues, R&B and Rock-N-Roll and giving up on being or at least trying to be a jazz dude.. Guitar Mike Birch suggested bandcamp and I will give that a look, maybe cull my better tunes out and make em better if possible and upload to bandcamp and might get lucky and sell a few bucks worth a year.. n

schmed, I forgot to answer all of your question..sorry 'bout that, as per drums It is a problem, but maybe won't be so much of a problem if I get back to my roots and forget about tunes composed in 7/4 time signature, like Orlando Lake #31 and Pounce On The Bounce.. where are your tunes at on BandMix player? let me go check and will do it right now..

I like the tune. For my money (if I had any) it could be a little faster but yeah.
