RICH??? Teddy, you need to read some biographies concerning avant-garde musicians.
They are the poorest of the poor financially. The US is not a place to market avant-garde music.

You won't find me listening more than a few seconds to that stuff. Seems like pointless self-indulgence to me.

The only avant-garde musicians I could name today are John Paul Jones (led zep) and Diamanda Galas

ever heard this?

No Bob, you didn't miss anything. There is no music on the website, just updates on future releases I plan on working on in the near future, $$ and time permitting. Yeah, you'll have to go to my SC stream to listen to any of my music but it's all instrumental and doesn't represent the CD I'm currently re-mixing. I've got all kinds of nutty stuff on SC. The CD is the most 'commercial' material I've ever recorded and includes a lot of vocal tracks. It's basically a 'folk' music set but it has a lot of different styles of music in there. If you read the 3rd page of the website I bust it down track by track.

I have no delusions of grandeur myself. I'm just doing this to have fun and it's what I enjoy doing most. Re-mixing all these recordings will keep me busy when I'm not doing other musically related things. I'm just riding the wave and stoking the coals, so to speak. If any money shows up in the mailbox I'll be happy. If it doesn't? No biggie Brother Bob. :)

jook, when I get back to New Orleans for the big hats available there, (tourists) we could get together and work these 2 new ones written and performed by me, up

thanks jook, you are welcome to do any musical act on anything I have at yourlisten or here at BM.actually rather than bass we could both be on guitar playing live. I know for a fact Ted and jimmie. and the rest of the crew are telling the truth, NEED TO PLAY LIVE IN FRONT OF PEOPLE TO GET THE CD TO SELL..don't put the cart before the horse, get a LIVE ACT that is smooth and polished and it will sell, did I ever tell you about me busking at the swap meets I attend? my best day was 32$ + change, and I was trying to seell goods on the side, I quit playing my guitar with an open case at the swap meet because then you can't watch your stuff, and they start stealing.. bad news.. me an FAron Camp were going to just rent a space for 6 bucks to play but it never materialized, he said we ain't gonna do no "jazz" and some if not all of my stuff has jazz chords or Carpenters like chords in them.. you know thatt
I have one more payment on my place, then it's paid off..then I feel like I can actually take off in a RV or something, don't have an RV yet but have the funds to get a good used 17 footer or so..it's still winter, and I have never winterized my water well, I use a heat lamp in the little well house I built years ago (24 years) ..I do not know the procedure for putting anti-freeze in the well, but I suppose I could google it and get the instructions.. in other words, Louisiana is on my list to permanently move to, although tonight's news put some fear into me. the SIKA virus? how do you spell that?.. the virus making babie's craniums too small but with a normal size face.. I am now thinking the farther north I live the better for mosquito infectation, especially in the Ozarks we have no swamps with mosquitos to speak of.. I have driven thru the Atchafayla Swamp on I-10 many times when I lived in Florida and visited my twin brother who lived in Texas City, he played with South Texas Express many years in a band.. Mr. Don Watts, Larry Peloquin (who lived in Louisiana) and Dave Scott the drummer, my brother loved Houston area but swears his health problems today were caused by the refimeries, he told me horror stories about whole blocks of people In Texas City and Bayside? or Bayclidff? ?? getting brain cancer.. but mosquitoes in a Louisiana swamp can control my own destiny, leave the swamp life alone I guess.. later

you'll have a great place to direct people's attention to on the web.

I'm going to try and sell CDRs @ the gigs for $5 a piece. I can get them reproduced in small batches of 100 for $1 each. This band recorded a CD of original instrumentals in my studio in 2006 and I still have the master. I just have to come up w/ the graphics for the cover (no problem there). I might slip my website address on there under the production credits.

Since you have many different CDs to sell, I'd caution you on getting 100 of each at a time - that's going to add up to a lot of bucks! Kunaki.com - you can get 20 CDs for $45 including shipping (that was my last order of my new CD). You can get fewer or more, but the total investment will be a lot less. If you find you're selling dozens a night, then go for the 100 piece order, but I think you'll find that smaller orders will do ya.

jookeyman wrote:Avant-garde: the advance group in any field, especially in the visual, literary, or musical arts, whose works are characterized chiefly by unorthodox and experimental methods.

Again Teddy, it's that simple. It's not Satanic. It doesn't rob people's souls. It is simply an extension of one's imagination.

Calling oneself "the advance group" does not make it so. It's a marketing slogan. My abhorrence of avant garde "music" has nothing to do with satan. It's just horrible music, and fits the definition of "noise" better.

You didn't have any music on your website for me to hear, but you had talked about wanting to be avant garde in a thread here. I've always considered that particular genre to be a rather pretentious imposter of art. That opinion was formed long before I met you.

Art: the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination.

Again Teddy, it's that simple. I'm an artist. If you don't like my music, don't listen to it.
You're not hurting my precious feelings. I'm not egocentric. :D

Evidently I am hurting your precious feelings, because I made no judgement of your music and yet you get defensive about what you think I think.

Art is in the eye of the beholder, ci?
