btw...the studio version of Crown of Creation is one of my faves......great vocals and jack's playing and concept it's just ridiculous.

Grace was often doing a Yoko Ono off of Jorma's licks. She admitted to this, that she tried to imitate Jorma's vibrato!!

pitch issues aside...she always had a little bit of the gooooooooat viiiiiiibratooooooh going on.

and just for shits and grins i had to find a live version of richie havens doing "HFB"... that guy really had his own thing going on! i forget who it was, but it was some pretty big name musician, and they were talking about playing the clubs in Greenwich Village back in the day w all the greats showing up...they'd all do a few tunes and they'd pass the hat...he said they'd all be bummed when Havens showed up because he just blew everyone else away and always got all the bread!!!!
