Here's one. Last week a day before a large snow storm, with the average civilian population in panic mode... Fear of running out of stuff. In this case FUEL OIL. We had a major truck safety crackdown. Talk about timing and concern from our government.
MANY COMPANIES had their equipment and drivers stopped in the name of the law. FOR HOURS and HOURS just before a major snowstorm.

Personally I was stopped by a railroad cop looking for violations at the RR tracks. I had to show him the law. Then I was stopped by a state trooper doing a " QUICK " tire check. OK... At 4:30 heading back to park and call it a day...
I was once again stooped... By a representative of the NY TAX department, checking to see if I had all the proper stickers required to run my business...

I am totally pro police... But in this case the law is being abused at it's source of authority.
