Bands And Albums.

Im a DTM fan from Images & Words. Best album all time would be a toss up from Images and Scenes from a Memory. The new album while I think muscianship is amazing the song writing involving lyrics is kinda weak. Symphony X , Redemption, and Circus Maximus are equally talented and sound fresher (even though they all have their nitch in Prog). Don't get me wrong I'd love to have half the chops of any of em, and will always see em live when they come to town. ATM the new Circus Maximus "Isolation" and new Symphony X "Paradise Lost" are better albums than "Systematic Chaos" but nothing tops the memory when I first heard "Images and Words" that was a revelation of true ruleness. I'm very fond of Dream Theater. I was introduced to them with the song "A Change of Seasons" a few years ago, and I instantly fell in love with them.
All very talented musicians.
My favorite albums by them are Awake and Scenes From A Memory.
My favorite song by them is definitely Octavarium though.

As far as Progressive Metal goes, I would rather listen to Pain of Salvation or Ayreon.
Still, DT are a solid #3 in my book.
