Im not complaining , sometimes, you don't want a band member who is broke, but I just don't want to pay these fees yet, until Im sure these gigs are real and all that before I spend that much money on a website. I see a couple gigs that look really cool and I might fit in - Fullerton , CA - capen1075669, but as I was burning through their songs and learning them , I realized I couldn't even shoot them an email. So they might not ever get a hold of me or me them.

This smacks of Pay to Play technology , which is kinda b s if you ask me. It's possible that these guys already got someone and forget to update their info, or worse, made up some aspects of this 'gig' . Anyways, they don't even put the name of the band so wondering if anyone could tell me why a band would want to remain anonymous when they have a gig . ? enlighten me.

They're probably not thinking things through as thoroughly as you are. Just pay for a month, use the hell out of it and cancel. You really can't find them with Google?

First thing to check is when they last accessed their profile - if its over a month ago, then they may be "long gone".
If a google/facebook search doesn't find anything for them, they probably broke up. If your band isn't on FB these days, well, you're just not getting there.
