Nice guitar Jimmy, looks like you have the X/Y pattern with the mics. Good luck!

Jimmy, I have two Takamine's one is $1200,00 the other I paid $299.00 for IMO the $299.00 sounds WAYYyy better! I bought it for playing around the house at parties and such. It doesn't have electronics in it but it does have a cedar top. I have discovered I prefer the tonewood cedar over spruce! I am not a believer that paying more gets you a better guitar. In the case of your Martin well.............my theory doesn't apply. I think I remember hearing that guitar recorded on some of your other recordings from years back?

Ironically, I have a Schecter I love so much I haven't taken it out of the house in 10 years. I play it once a week however I don't want anything to happen to it. It is the one I recorded my version of Europa on. I'm sure you remember that LOL! I have lightened up a bit since those days Ha Ha! It cost $699.00 and sounds so much like Santana when I play it!

yes, jeff...i've noticed in your photos you HAVE dropped a few lbs! oh, wait...that's NOT what you meant???

at the end of the day...it's good to know we all have more in common than not. and luckily the respect we have for each others as musicians and being able to recognize basic goodness despite very different political views saves the day.

but seriously, you guys need to lighten up about bringing your prized instruments out in the world.

some of my best times on gigs is when someone (who clearly AIN'T a jerk) comes up on a break or after the gig to gawk at my '63 P Bass or my high dollar Warwick Stage One Streamer.....and seeing the look on their face when i hand it to them to check out is priceless! oh, man i love doing that and seeing them light up in disbelief and joy.

back when i used to have a DeArmond soundhole p/u in my '36 Martin i used to bring that to gigs too.
