Hi, I'm The Hunter (screen name) and I'm a new member and a guitar player / singer livin' in Spring, Texas. I've been looking for somebody to jam with ever since I started playing 4 years ago. I have'nt had much luck yet , so thank goodness for my Boss recorder. I have posted a couple of my original songs at my site. If any of you guys or gals get a chance , give my cuts a listen and maybe some feedback. If any of you live in the Houston/Spring area and would like to talk about possible collaboration, give me a ring or mail me. Thanks

Hunter'
Your Green day influences shine through brighter then the finish of your guitar! Good job on all accounts, playing, singing, composing ,and recording quality, (my only complaint is the length of the intro to "Solitary Confinement").
Best of luck with the musician hunt, and welcome to the forum.

This message is from Bill, Hunter's Dad. We appreciate you taking the time to listen. I agree that the intro is too long Solitary and I think Hunter is coming around too. He would have answered you himself but I can't seem to get him to stop mixing his next two songs he is going to post. They are !. Redhouse (a pseudo-Jimi Hendrix version) 2.Fall Into Sleep ( acoustic version of a Mudvayne song). By the way , I've listened to you and I thought those keys must have been smoking when you finished! Thanks for sharing.

Hunter and Bill,
Great job on the two covers too! The volume levels sound OK to me through the computer speakers. We're getting a lot of good young players on the forum lately. Keep checking your BandMix messages, I'd wager people will be calling.

This message is from Hunter. Thanks for the feedback everybody! Howlin J, your piano keys are hottt!! I've gotten a few responses so far after contacting about 50 people. Does anybody know anything about copyright laws? My dad made the last two cover songs I did unavailable for download because he was afraid it might be illegal. I am unsure, but I don't want to do anything against the law...

You can give recordings of covers away, you just can't sell them without paying royalties to the publisher.

We have had several threads on copyright and some good info links posted. Look into some of the earlier threads the info is out there thanks to some of the more experienced players. And like Jimmy said Ifn you aint makin money on it you got little to worry about. It always best to give credit to the original artist .
