Had liberal activist judges been willing to follow the law that everyone else has to, this would not be happening. But they know that they could never win in a legal debate or process so they simply ignored the law and went around the process that the rest of us obey (the real law) and have created a situation that will not end well.

The Supreme Court can not make a law according to THE law, they just ruled on the supposed unconstitutionality of state bans by redefining language in the Dred-Scott decision; which is what made slaves legal chattel property. Congress makes the laws (or at leased is supposed to). Show me the law Kim Davis violated. She refused to enforce a "law" that doesn't exist. The Kentucky legislature, likewise has not created a law allowing for same sex marriage. Also, the court has no authority to enforce a law, even if it existed. So, here we have the most perfect example of judicial activism where the courts try to create a law (which does not exist) and then enforce it, which is abuse of power.

But, using the same pattern of thought and actions, now we see the real hypocrisy. Why aren’t San Francisco officials being put in prison for creating sanctuary cities in defiance of immigration laws that do exist? This resulted in a recent death. Or why aren’t Hillary and Obama placed in prison for refusing to uphold the Defense of Marriage Act, our immigration laws and for not protecting our national security?

So much hypocrisy from the people who said that their decision included protection for Freedom of Religion. Psshhaw....it doesn't even include protection for the Constitutional, much less the citizens.

Excellent Yod. This all points back to the largest problem at all levels in our country. A republic is a nation of stable laws that can be CHANGED... But not by the few over the many without consent of the people. Unfortunately this women got caught in the crossfire of change. Let me be clear, that gay folks should not be punished under any discriminatory law, but I don't understand why they made the term marriage such a battle cry. We are only talking about a tiny percent of the population.

This only proves that we have entered an era where the law is no longer stable and a society that is no longer stable.

It is God who called them their wives in the scriptures.

There were no men of God walking the earth within that time period so who made them man and wife? It is God who joined them together as stated in scripture.

Unless you're the Obama Administration, right? If they don't like a law, they simply choose not to enforce it. They've broken so many laws I lost count in 2008, but the so-called "Justice" Dept is leading the way.

Oy, it's such a looonnnnngggg list of laws they continually break and/or selective choose to enforce, that I'd get writer's cramp trying to list them all. How about we start with just ONE law that is going to cost millions of innocent lives in the near future?

The "Law" is absolutely being enforced selectively. If you're a Democrat politician you have the so-called "Justice" department covering for you to commit any crime of theft or avarice. If you're upholding the law before 2008, then you're fair game for persecution.

Please, tell me....how can one be in contempt of court for upholding the existing laws of their State? If anything, the Judge is in contempt of the law.

It is spot on ... Reagan specifically mentions in a meeting planning the weapons swap with terrorists, that he had no problem with the illegality if the scheme helps maintain the mirage of his heroic image.
